This is a great B&B, due in no small part to the incredible hospitality of James and Susan, the couple who run it. This was the case from the moment we arrived, when we were welcomed with a glass of their home made wine. We didn't really have any plans for the evening we arrived, and they advised us about... We only spent one night at the Orange Tabby but would like to go back and stay longer next time. Port Hardy is a lovely little town and Susan is a great hostess. We got in late at night from the ferry and she was waiting up for us with a glass of wine and cookies. The next day she... More

We stayed one night at the Orange Tabby and thoroughly enjoyed our host James & Susan and everything about our accomodations. We had a private entrance and private bath. The bed was very comfortable and all the linens were fresh and good quality. The breakfast was excellent with generous portions of home cooking. Our hosts were full of good suggestions... More

Very nice B&B. Best bedding we had in Canada for 3 weeks. Host is a very nice retired fisherman. The rooms are new and very nice, they also have a comfertable bathroom. Breakfast is good with home made waffles, and finally a man in the kitchen! We felt very at home. A good place to stay.

We have just returned from a month touring Canada. The Orange Tabby and the wonderful hosts - James and Susan - ranked in the top two B&B's we stayed at. The welcome from the moment we turned off the ignition will never be forgotten. We had a wonderful evening sipping home brew wine whilst James introduced our kids to the... More

We recently spent 6 nights at this delightful B&B!! Upon our arrival, we were treated to wine and delicious appetizers. James and Susan were gracious, fun, and welcoming hosts. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. James and Susan were able to accomodate all of our needs to ensure the perfect week of fishing for us. Each morning they prepared... More

We stayed here after travelling up from Victoria and catching the ferry the next morning. Met by James and Susan who greeted us with a glass of wine and were happy to sit down and talk like old friends. Their recommendation for our dining experience was spot on for what we wanted and even included a discount for staying at... More

We just stayed four nights at the Orange Tabby in Port Hardy British Columbia. We had an absolutely great time. The owners, James and Susan, are very special people. They are extremely nice and went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. Each evening, they provided us with their own homemade wine and other goodies. They made... More

We stayed here far too briefly between arriving from Prince Rupert on the inside passage ferry at midnight and leaving for a bus to Victoria at 8am the next morning!
