The Old Chapel is a beautiful and unique house in the picturesque village of Wetton. Set in a Conservation Area, and nestling in the hills between Dovedale and the Manifold Valley, it is an ideal spot for a quiet and rejuvenating break. Relax and enjoy the spectacular views from the well tended garden or use the Old Chapel as a base for exploring all the Peak District National Park has to offer. The beautiful open and rolling countryside beckons you to take a walk right from the door to flower filled meadows, crystal rivers, abundant wildlife and views to take your breath away. Why not take a cycle ride along one of the local traffic free trails (on former railway lines so they’re not too steep). The thrills and spills of Alton Towers are just half an hours drive away. There are also several stately homes to visit, including Chatsworth House just a short drive away. There’s something for everyone!

We received a really warm welcome of tea and cakes. The room was very comfortable and spacious, with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious, all local produce including home made jams, yoghurt and bread. Lynne gave expert knowledge about local pubs and tea rooms, as well as recommending nearby walks (we highly enjoyed the short walk from Wetton to Thor's cave). The Old Chapel itself is a gorgeous building set in a charming village. Easy enough to get to, and a good base for exploring the Peak District. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Another fabulous weekend in the Peak District. Lynne makes you feel so welcome with a pot of fresh tea or coffee and cakes on arrival. Amazing breakfasts which keep us well fuelled whilst either cycling or hiking in the peaks. Use of OS maps available for the duration of your stay. Amazing garden to the front, rooms are lovely. Very helpful in advising you to good pubs for evening meals. Snacks available for purchase in the front porch if you are in need of a sugar rush. Can't wait to go back

My wife and I try to get away as often as possible for short breaks, and how lucky were we to find The Old Chapel in Wetton this last Bank Holiday weekend. What a beautiful part of planet earth, and what a wonderful place to stay and chill out Lynne made us feel so welcome and provided tea and home made cakes on arrival. Our room was perfect, and the breakfast something to die for. Of all the places that we have stayed in over the years, this is only the third one that we will definitely be returning to - the others being ion Somerset and Surrey. Book it, you will not regret it!!

This is a perfect bed and breakfast. Lynne welcomes you before you even arrive. Communication is perfect. Tea when you get there plus cupcake. Advice on what to do locally. Rooms are lovely, as is the beautiful garden in front. Breakfast is incredible. Lynne has an eye for detail and it tells. Fresh fruit salad. Home made jams. Choice cereals. She even cooked us breakfast at 7am. Wonderful place and hostess.
