Take no notice of any negative reviews regarding Groupon deals. We visited last night and couldn't fault a thing. 2 courses + wine = excellent value & quality. It was that good we opted for a dessert each & couldn't fault that either. Debbie the manager is one switched on lady, very attentive & nice to chat too. Will definitely...

The food that everyone else was having looked very nice and ours was OK but when we got there we were told that there was a "special" menu for Groupon and that the glass of wine was a "special" wine for Groupon visitors. My view is that if you are going to do Groupon you do it properly i.e. let...

We were given a Groupon for afternoon tea with prosecco at the Crown Rung in and booked for 4 o'clock. Staff were fine but the tea consisted of a few Cheese sandwiches on white bread - no choice offered with a couple of ham ones still on white. 8 Olives with cheese cubes on sticks and 7 small cakes -...

What can I say from the early part off the week to the final day the staff manager and owner were out off this world. We were made to feel welcome and not one thing was to much. If you don't visit this place you are missing out on a excellent experience. We live over two hrs away but we...

We stayed for one night and also ate in the restaurant. All very good, staff friendly and helpful, room very clean and nice furniture etc. Good breakfast, good beer. And excellent value. It's in a lovely quiet village.

We visited tonight with a Groupon for 2 courses and a glass of wine. All in all it wasn't a good experience. The ad on the Groupon website mentioned a choice of dishes including sea bass but this was not the case. The choice was very limited indeed and not a fish in sight! The service was very slow even...

It had been about 25 years since I visited The Crown. We were a party of 6. The Crown is in a quiet village lane and although the car park is not large we were able to find a space easily although there is parking on the lane too. By the door there appears to be some sort of outdoor...

The Crown is tucked away down a narrow country lane in a lovely rural setting. 6 of us had a lovely home cooked evening meal on a Sunday. We had to wait a while for service but as everything is cooked fresh, this is only to be expected. Lovely food, attentive service. Would visit again.
