We visited here and had something to eat. OMG it was lovely. The food really tasted home cooked, the vegetables were lovely and so crisp and tasty. Lovely atmosphere, felt chilled and relaxing. I would certainly recommend the meals here. We didn't stay overnight but will next time and if the rooms are as nice as the food, can't go...

We went to Uttoxeter races and fancied staying over so booked this the night before our stay. What a lovely find. The room was advertised as small which didn't bother us. It was spotlessly clean and not noisy with little extras like still and sparkling water in the room as well as tea and coffee with loads of mini milk...

Visited here for afternoon tea, which had been bought for us as a christmas present. What a lovely pub, staff and chef very friendly and very nice decor. Had a selection of sandwiches ie salmon, ham and cheese and lovely cream buns, finishing off with a small bottle of prosecco, will be visiting again very shortly.

Great village pub with good range of real ales and lager. Stayed overnight in a good sized room with everything you need. Dinner was excellent, certainly be classed as better than average pub food. Breakfast was not as good, the full English was well cooked but instant coffee! To be fair, our waitress managed to get us a proper coffee...

Went with family for some tea and was really surprised with this small village pub. Very nice interior, trendy but comfy with lots of nice tables/ surrounds. The menu is quite good, burgers/ steaks, usual things but also some specials. We all had starters, all served nicely and all very impressed. Ham hock, soup and chicken liver parfait all very...

My husband and I stayed with my parents after receiving gift vouchers for the crown inn. We stayed in the fountain room and wasn't disappointed, the room was very clean and spacious. Following the day at uttoxeter races which is approx 10mins in a taxi we returned for an evening meal. The food was good quality and well presented, staff...

Booked a table (Bank Holiday Mon) looked at the website and it looked a really cosy country pub with a good menu. When we were shown through to the restaurant it was very cold with no atmosphere, the log fire remained unlit and on a cold January night it would have at least added some ambience! The menu was very...

Miles out of our way due to M6! Saw signs for this pub- in tiny village but great pub food, quick service and very attentive staff! Good prices too- £ 9.50 for turkey roast. Panini good too plenty of prawns. Good car park.

Good menu and food served by pleasant staff who know what they are doing. Only issue was the noise in the bar area was deafening with many children present and very loud workmen at the bar. Probably better to eat in the restaurant area to avoid this.

We stayed at the Crown Inn for a few days in November. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, even when we asked for a room change. The rrom was very comfortable and cosy just as we like it. We felt that perhaps a hand-rail could be fitted on the bath wall to assist elderley people...
