Our first post lockdown meal out, and it was excellent. The table in the marquee was a nice setting and the staff very helpful and friendly. The food was nicely cooked, and service very prompt. All very well organised and we look forward to visiting again soon.

We called on spec today & were delighted at the response we received, they were happy for us to arrive shortly afterwards. The food was home cooked & delicious, and the service & pricing was very good. Also, even though restrictions dictate we ate outside the grounds were lovely and spacious. I sincerely hope this is not our last visit.

Top of our list to visit for re-opening after COVID restrictions. Perfect setting in the marquee. 100% safe. Staff always extremely professional and friendly. Food, as always, top quality and portion size brilliant. Can definitely recommend the pizzas, you won’t be disappointed! You never feel rushed to finish your meal, and staff interaction is perfect. Takes a lot of beating in every way and cannot wait to go back.

We booked into the marquee for one of the first meals after lockdown measures eased enough to allow outdoor entertainment. Served by very welcoming and enthusiastic staff, in a very well segregated and organised setup. The options on both the garden menu and the specials were enough to suit most diners, and as with previous dining experiences the dishes we ordered did not disappoint! However, the popularity of the duck pizza was deserved and it was sold out by the time we had left. More than reasonably priced, 2 courses for two people with drinks, one of which was alcoholic came to just over £40 and we were very much stuffed! Dining in the marquee area affords you a partially enclosed area, booking is required, and you have heated lamps to help the experience and table service. Even on a coolish day of 7 degrees we were able to sit and dine in a couple of layers without too much issue when the sun presented itself. The other dining areas looked very well set up, with a food ordering point to go to when you were ready and waitress service. There was also additional seating on the grass area, presumably for "walk ins" and unlikely to encompass table service/food provision but check with the venue before you attend! We will most certainly be back to do this again.

This was the first restaurant we visited on our recent visit with friends to the Peak District. We drove past earlier in the day and thought it looked lovely so went back for dinner in the evening! We were so impressed with the reasonable prices and the fantastic quality of food and generous portion sizes. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us. Really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend to anybody visiting the area!
