My wife and I were going to a wedding in the area. We usually stay at hotels but after this we've been converted to guest houses! Michael was waiting to welcome us; take our bags to the room and make sure it was what we expected. (It definitely was). Helen was there to say hello and almost immediately we felt...

Wonderful hosts, was warmly greeted and our bags were carried to our room, extremely helpful with all our needs i.e taxis and nearby eateries. Rooms were quaint and cosy they had everything we needed and more for our one night stay. The free wifi was a bonus as my phone had zero signal. We were welcomed back with a hot...

Michael is a star!! Despite his recent "fall" he was as jovial and pleasant as always. This place is a gem. Where else would you get hot water bottles already in the beds. Breakfast is 5*. The views in a morning are incredible

I stayed recently as I was attending a wedding nearby. I booked last minute, so I didnt really expect much at all. I was very pleasantly surprised! The location is lovely, and Michael was incredibly welcoming; he met me at the door and showed me to my room. The room itself was lovely and spacious, with a very comfortable bed...

We didn't actually stay in the guest house as we were already accomodated in a holiday cottage just down the road. We were so lucky to discover that the proprietor at 'Brandy Bank' took in non residents if he possibly could. My husband Tom and I were celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary and we were joined by our son Andrew....

We stayed at Brandy Bank for one night before commencing the final day of our St Oswald's Way walk. Our host, Michael, collected us from the day's stopping point, quite some distance from the accommodation. Michael is friendly and helpful, and the Brandy Bank was very comfortable indeed. A much appreciated coffee was served on arrival. Breakfast was the best...

We were made extremely welcome from the moment our host picked us up in his beautiful luxury car at the end of a long day's hiking. The guest house has been carefully converted from a former pub. Our room was extremely comfortable with a lovely bed and lashings of hot water in the shower. Our hosts couldn't do enough for...

We booked here for 1 night as we had tickets for a star gazing session at the Kielder Observatory. We were met by our hosts who took our bags to the room, then advised us of a pub we could have a meal at en route to Kielder. They were aware we wouldn't arrive back until gone midnight, and advised...
