This is actually one of the best stays I've had at any place. I only wish that we had stayed more than one night. It was absolute luxury without the pretense. It is near the golf club, which is why I suspect most people stay at this inn, and yet, it's just good to sink in to the pampering. Very spacious, modern rooms with elegance; great toiletries and rain showerheads. The breakfast was absolutely delightful and my husband, as a picky eater, found much delight in the variety n the menu. He went for french toast. I was more engaged with the granola and fruit after a week and a half of abundance elsewhere. You can enjoy great sunsets and a lounge on a wonderful wrap-around porch.
We stayed overnight and couldn't have asked for more charming hosts and rooms. The bedrooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with sumptuous bedding and the breakfasts were freshly prepared to order and absolutely delicious. Inverness is a pretty town with a great beach board walk and nice restaurants, a great place to see the sunset and an excellent destination before heading for the Cabot Trail.
Beautiful location, clean and cozy. Large rooms with all modern amenities. Beautiful views, and great location. Unfortunately, a strict 10 am Checkout will dampen the relaxation spirit for any traveller seeking a sleep in.
Incredibly lovely inn. Room was superb. Breakfast cooked to order - French toast best ever and eggs close second. Pam, one of the owners, was just so helpful, sweet, and delightful. Al, Pam’s partner, was an abundance of local lore (6 th generation on Cape Breton). Loves to chat - don’t get him going on politics......
Stayed for a couple of days whilst playing golf at Cabot Cliffs, and it could not have been more convenient, which was a relief as the resort was full. It is a beautiful house, very elegantly and tastefully furnished, offering a very relaxed and comfortable experience. We chose the MacLellan Room which was spacious with an ensuite bathroom with shower and full freestanding bath, which was really luxurious after a challenging day on the golf links. Other rooms had separate bathrooms but just across the hallway. There was a comfortable lounge area to sit and relax, and seats also out on the deck which was a lovely place to be with a glass of wine at twilight. There is a kitchen for use by guests, no refrigerators in the rooms but more than welcome to use the fridge in the kitchen if required. We usually prefer to be a bit more anonymous and choose hotels to stay in, but our experience here was so wonderful. Pam and Alistair are the most outstanding hosts, and offered lots of advice about the area, dining options and other recommendations. We were sorry to leave.…
