It is a perfect location to observe a blanket of stars with dancing Aurora Borealis on a clear-sky day. We spent an amazing three nights here and absolutely loved everything about it. The igloos are compact but had everything we needed. It's so quiet and peaceful; everywhere was snow covered and looked beautiful. There are a total of 20 igloos all spread out, we were in one near facing the lake (frozen) and no one could see in to ours. Bed is super comfy, underfloor heating keeps them warm. Bathroom has underfloor heating too and dries quickly after a shower. There are snowshoes you can use free of charge too. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of choice. We had a 3 course dinner each night too (you have to pre-book) very fresh and tasty and plenty of it. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lammintupa activity centre is only a ten minute walk and they offer husky sled, reindeer sled, ice karting and other things. There is also a lovely cafe there. We would definitely recommend a stay here.…

Quiet accommodation in the middle of the nature near a small pond. The place turned out to be worthy of its name already on the first night, when we saw a swan descending into the pond as well as beautiful northern lights ♥️. Special thanks for the environmental and pet friendliness and privacy. We appreciated how the entire visit was handled without face-to-face contact with staff or other guests. We slept very well, which is not self-evident in hotels. At the moment, Magical Pond is still somewhat unfinished and it remains to be seen how for example the new reception and sauna facilities will affect the concept and price level. Some of the walkways are paved with such a large crushed stone that you need to be careful with your ankles and if you have a (small) dog, you need to carry your pet to avoid toe accidents. Iglu lacked instructions on how to use the coffee machine and we realized too late that there was some much needed storage space under the stairs. So the content of the igloo's info cards would need a check.…

Awesome place! It was an amazing experience watching the starry sky at bedtime! I slept very well in a very comfortable and spacious bed. It was an experience to walk in a dark but white snow covered forest. A place called Lammintupa offered wonderful experiences on Hysky and Reindeer safaris. In addition, ice karting was a great experience. When you want to enjoy nature and experiences. Not a party place.

Such a lovely place in middle of forest by a small pond. Small glass iglus offer everything you need for a nice stay in Ruka. We stayed here one night before our hike and decided to stay two more night after.

Nice concept, great value for money, helpful staff, minibar included in price, good breakfast, extremely comfortable bed and linen, pets allowed. ♥️ We highly recommend this place especially if you want to be in the middle of the peaceful nature and want to experience unique architecture.

This recently opened awesome place remains always in my mind. A stylish cabin like an igloo with luxurious facilities was a great and unforgettable experience! The place is very close to Ruka hill, in an extremely beautiful Lapland forest. Bright sky with full of stars could be seen through large windows. Friendly service and variety of activities made the stay comfortable and relaxing. High recommendations! ✨
