We stayed at this lovely Retreat with it's beautiful views and comfortable rooms for the end of our holiday season. We could not have had a warmer welcome than that of which Elaine and Al gave us!!! The breakfast was fabulous and ample. Having a farm near by was fun. Our room was lovely and getting service in our room...

Al and Elaine are fantastic hosts. Made our stay pleasant and will definitely go back. Great views from the room. Had the chance to meet all the adorable animals on the Hobby farm....the friendly cats...chickens...the welcoming horses and the little piglets....thanks Al for the tour and Elaine for the great breakfast. I would recommend staying to anyone needing a getaway.

well i'm not gonna say this property isn't nice or the views aren't breath taking BUT I did have issues with this place trying to get a refund back on one of the multiple rooms I booked - even though my cancellation was well within their cancellation policy. I made the reservations for multiple rooms for Groomsmen and Bridemaids on...

I was sad to see your review today. You reserved our entire place during a peak time for 5 plus months and I blocked all of our suites out for you, then you insisted on paying everything upfront at the time. I did not obtain a imprint of your credit card as this was done via the phone and I...

Prancing Horse Retreat is in a beautiful, rural area with fantastic views. We visited in early October which meant we had some rain/fog which is normal in the area at this time. The rooms (we had 2 rooms for our group of 3) were both spacious, comfortable, clean and included thoughtful extras like an assortment of coffee/teas, coffeemaker, fresh fruit,...

I can not say enough about my Prancing Horse experience. The first time I stayed was because I was taking my son to boarding school in the area, I was sad and had a difficult time emotionally, Elaine was a darling giving me support and also time and space to cry my eyes out. The second time was my son...

Prancing Horse Retreat has a pleasant rural location with an incredible view over Saanich Inlet to the the Olympic Mountains and minutes away from great Cowichan Valley wineries! The room was spacious, attractively decorated, comfortably furnished, and well equipped with beverage fridge, Tassimo machine with a selection of coffee/tea/latte, and a large soaker tub to enjoy the view from. And...

This place was as an absolute little slice of heaven. Everything about it was warm, inviting, and wonderful--from the fabulous bath, comfy bed, surprise bottle of champagne, right down to Netflix on the television. After the last few stressful weeks of planning leading up to our wedding, my husband and I just wanted to relax and be restored and we...

We booked this last minute and weren't sure what we were going to find. Upon arrival we were greeted with fruit, fresh baked cookies and a complimentary bottle of wine. Our room was very nice with great linens and cute finishing touches. The deck overlooks one of the most spectacular views on the island, as does the hot tub. In...

I am not a B&b fan but Elaine & Alan at then prancing horse changed my opinion. The rooms were plentiful and the rooms had wine, snacks, coffee and home made cookies every night. The views are stunning and the property is beautiful. They have the most amazing coffee and breakfast. On nice days it is served in the courtyard...
