This campground is located right on the water. The view is gorgeous. Look for the seals! It is all open with no privacy. If you need a level spot, you are out of luck. No site is even close to level. The slope down to the water is horrendous. Sites have power, but no water. Fill with water at the...

This is my favourite campground in New Brunswick. It is a peaceful and beautiful spot where you fall asleep to the sounds of the waves hitting the shore and the muted sound of foghorns. The wilderness tent sites are a treasure with an incredible sunset view over the coast of Maine. While I was there I made friends with some...

I am a tent camper and avoid RV campgrounds or places with long term camping. Deer Island has a lot of the RV/trailer campers but they also have 6 or so "wilderness" campsites. Not really wilderness, a short walk from a car lot, but you are away from RV campers and so it is quiet. Finding a place to pitch...

We were able to enjoy this hidden gem yesterday and we had a blast!! We watched the tide ho out and we were able to explore on the rocks. We had a BBQ and then played some ball, it was truly a wonderful family day!! For sure will be going back :)

We recently stayed at this campground for one night and thoroughly enjoyed the stay and loved the scenery. Great location with a nice free ferry ride from Letete NB, also ferries running from next door to the campground's office to Campobello NB and East Port ME (these two aren't free but good walk on rates to the East Port one...

I'm sure this is fine if you want wilderness camping. The campground itself is very nice, well maintained grounds. We camped there mid-August 2012. We were told they had water and electricity and a dump station, so we booked 2 nights. We arrived (late in the evening) to be told that you had to pump the water to your rv,...

You almost don't want to review this hidden treasure. An absolutely unique campground on the point of Deer Island. We were on a tight schedule, but decided to stay two nights with the kids 7 and 10. We chose the "wilderness camping" where we enjoyed a unique camping experience, the tent right on the sea. In the first hour my...

We stayed here for three nights in the wilderness camping section for $75 which included tax and a gallon of drinking water each day. We found a great spot under the trees in a clearing with our firepit on the beach about 15 feet away from our tent. Firewood was $5 a bundle but you could easily get two fires...
