We are not too fussy about where we stay as long as the bed is comfortable. This is an old motel. We stayed in the separate section away from the two storey part with the restaurant. All the rooms have a great view of the river as it meets coast. There were ducks in the river so the name fits....

I chose this hotel because I saw pictures of the view. It was a good choice for our last night in Cape Breton. First of all I had to pick a place that allowed pets and although there is a surcharge per night it is not a large amount. The view was lovely and there really are ducks playing in...

Clean and spacy rooms well located on Cabot Trail not far away from small local beaches and overlooking the Margaree bay and bridge from room balcony. Outlook-Restaurant is in the motel, helpful people.

The motel has lots of interesting history that the owner shared. Very friendly. The room had 2 doubles and a single so was perfect for our family of 5. The breakfast was a bit pricey but highly worth it. The buffet was delicious. Don't miss it!

This was my husband and my third stop along the Cabot Trail. The room itself was clean but very dated as others have said. But, it did the trick for what we needed. The name is appropriate since there always seemed to be several ducks swimming in the water in front of the hotel. I was told the breakfast in...

This Inn really is a motel and is quite reminiscent of a 50's motel. The room had a 12 inch TV (only thing missing was the rabbit ears). It had a fridge that wasn't turned on, no hair dryer and really cheap amenities in the bathroom . They do give you free WIFI however. Bedding consisted of nylon plaid bed...

Staff were helpful to arrange reservations for supper at Seaside Restaurant at nearby Island Sunset Resort. Our second floor motel room was handy. Very dated decor but it was clean and had a balcony that could be opened for a cross breeze. There is no a/c but even though it was a hot humid last few days, we quickly learned...

The place is clearly overpriced! We paid 129$ without breakfast and came from a superb B&B where we paid 140$ including the best breakfast ever. So, no comparison there. The view on the front is good but that's about all that can be said on the positive side. The rooms are OK but very basic p, but ours ( room...

We spent one night here before we set out to drive the Cabot Trail. The room was clean and had a nice view of the river. The parking is very close to the rooms and the check-in process was seamless. WiFi worked well and sadly it was too cold to enjoy the scenic balcony. The interior is very dated; we...
