We went to Ucluelet from Seattle, which is a day's trip. First we stayed in Tsawwassen overnight, then took ferry across to Nanaimo. It's 3 hours drive from Nanaimo. Once we got there, they gave a room with a gorgeous view. There's also a little kitchenette with refrigerator. There's also a gas fireplace. IT's a very peaceful environment as it... More

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 28 September 2016

We were overwhelmed with the view and the design of the resort. How very beautiful! Food in the lounge and the fine dining room was excellent. The coastline Wild Pacific Coast Trail begins at the resort and makes its way by an old shipwreck. There is a series of walking trails in the area, so bring your good walking shoes... More

Warm, welcoming, very comfortable studio suite. Enjoyed fine dining on our first evening and also had a delightful conversation with their fine Chef David, who will be adding some Peruvian (his home country) delicacies to his next menu. Enjoyed the luxurious spa and massage...very professional. Spectacular views from the bar facility....but disappointing food. This was our second visit and would... More

We stayed over a weekend for a wedding. The location is very nice a bit of a drive from the airport but worth it. On paper this resort is amazing views and amazing reviews, but I personally found it was a lot of modern touches at a cheap quality touches. The key at check in didn't work to the room,... More

My husband and I got married in May. We really didn't know where we wanted to go for our honeymoon so we finally decided to visit Tofino and Ucluelet. The Black Rock resort in Ucluelet came highly recommended by a lot of friends. Our room was not bad-not directly on the water, but there is a view. There is the... More

We did not visit the Black Rock when we had originally booked our room. Due to a serious storm that day, the reservation desk contacted us and suggested that we should consider not coming due to the adverse conditions ( flooding & power outages in the area). If we re-booked, they would upgrade us to an ocean view studio, rather... More

Booked a one bedroom trail ocean view, was surprised at how spacious the rooms were! Travelled with my 6 month old and two dogs and was very happy with the customer service as well as the cleanliness of the room. The view is amazing, spent a lot of time doing walks or hikes, Ucluelet is a quaint little peaceful town... More

Clean, friendly and the only noise was from the ocean and ravens. My only complaint was when we wanted to order from the Float Lounge they do not offer room service. They offer take out but automatically add 15% to the bill. I am surprised a hotel of this caliber does not offer room service but then charge 15% to... More

Spent 4 nights here and so glad we did. We had an ocean view premium suite which is well worth it for the views! The staff were great but there is one person who really stood out. Mustafa brings an old world class that is ironically refreshing as I think we have become so used to mediocre service in Vancouver... More

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights here and it was lovely. We stayed in room 406 in the lodge, beautiful views from living room area and from bedroom patio. Suite was really clean and staff were more than happy to assist with anything you needed. Parking was free. Lounge food was fine, restaurant breakfast was delish! Overall a wonderful... More
