The hotel is clean and in a beautiful area but nothing special as hotels go. Not all rooms have a good mountain view, trees block the view plus the mountains to the north are more like hills. The mountains to the south are the big gorgeous ones you want a view of. Pemberton shops and restaurants are in walking distance but you do have to walk along the highway for a short ways. No sidewalk but a fairly wide gravel shoulder. The highway was not busy when I walked it.

The facilities and staff at Pemberton Valley Lodge provided exemplary accommodation of 4 rooms for our extended family attending a wedding in the fields beneath scenic Mount Curry. My parents’ room was completely accessible as promised. Staff were accommodating of their needs. The hot tub, steam and pool were most enjoyable. We’ll need to return to explore further the beautiful hiking and funky restaurants.

Loved staying at the lodge. I have been here twice. The kitchen in the suite is fully equipped for cooking. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with vanity items. The view is also nice from the rooms. It was a relaxing stay for me and my family.

Room is clean and well kept, room w/no balcony has no comfortable chair. Mattress made it so uncomfortable to sleep. Faucet in kitchenette is difficult to operate. Staff offered no help initially. Moved instead to fix staff mistake of being put in wrong suite. Then instructions of how to use faucet given once move to 2nd suite w/o balcony. This was all at the expense of us, the guests. If you're hearing impaired, staff have no training whatsoever to deal. TVs in guest suites have NO CLOSED CAPTIONING! Air Miles amenities list OVEN in room. This is NOT true. Room has NO OVEN. Suites booked thru Air Miles have no balcony, less room, no comfy chairs, handicapped shower. While kitchenette is well stocked with pots, pan, cutlery, dishes, etc, there is only one burner and it took a long time to cook with that. It didn't heat up well. There is a small fridge and microwave. 👎 Manager tried to get Closed Captioning at our request but TVs in guest suites don't have the option. Seems no one at this location has ever met a hearing impaired person. They weren't prepared. Music & TV in lobby played so loud together that I don't know how they expect any guest to hear let alone the hearing impaired.

Dear TINEARS2, We are truly sorry about the TV and your experience with a maintenance issue. We did everything in our power to enable the Closed Captioning option on the TV and have contacted our TV service provider since your departure to ensure this feature can be offered to future guests. As for room moving you upon check-in, we understand there was an issue with the faucet, however, because it was later in the day, our maintenance department (of one person) had left for the day and working with limited staff at the moment due to COVID, room moving you was our only option to ensure you had a functioning room. Our Operations Managers has personally reached out to you regarding further communication. -David Mackenzie

Had my wife in tears trying to check in. We arranged a two night stay and when we arrived were told that we couldn’t check in because we didn’t have a credit card. We had a prepaid visa which was explained prior to coming there. Spoke repeatedly about our deposit and our length of stay with it staff. Travelled 3hrs to get there and then turned away because they would not use a prepaid visa even after telling us we can over the phone. They even did a pre authorization a day before arrival. We explained that we would pay in full apon arrival and it was agreed on by the hotel. Even had record thru email and confirmation. Nothing would be rectified over an hour of conversation and we had to leave returning home for another 3hr drive. Both my wife and I don’t use credit cards and haven’t for years.... never had issues before here. Stayed at luxury hotels in Whistler like Sandial Hotel(highly recommended) fairmont ect all over bc and the USA. Use a prepaid visa for booking and have payed debit or cash up front and happy days .. never turned away or told NO. They should be embarrassed on how they treated us and hope they speak to there staff regarding rules or comments or procedures so people like us don’t waste our time thinking everything is in order. Simply tell us that we cannot except anything but and we wouldn’t have made the trip. BRUTAL AND DISGUSTING SERVICE...

oliverg905, While we do respect your personal opinion, the truth of the matter is that Pemberton Valley Lodge (as with most businesses) does not accept pre-paid visa/mastercard gift cards as a form of preauthorized payment. Our system doesn't even authorize pre-paid gift cards. Upon check-in, guests must swipe an actual valid major credit card and we must authorize a specific amount which covers room, tax and incidentals. Our Front Desk was very understanding that you had traveled a distance and our Operations Manage did make a very special exception for you to be able to use your pre-paid gift card to pre-pay for the room (instead of authorizing it), but unfortunately, you did not have enough funds to cover the entire balance. Due to the fact that you had insufficient funds, we did not accept your reservation. David Mackenzie.
