Looking at the pictures of the Domain of Killian brings back some great memories of how i loved to work there. The food the chefs made were awesome. Chef Danelle made the best eggs benedict i have ever eaten, and his pastries were so light and fluffy. His chocolate mousse was to die for. The chefs were always from France and...

My Husband and i drove 3 hours north to check out the cottages and speak to Lynn, see we have 5 children, so we were going to rent 3 of the cottages. We arranged a time and day to meet with Lynn, When we arrived she was NO where to be found, so we walked around checking out the grounds...

Beautiful, quiet resort in perfect natural setting. Quaint cabin with luxury bed, fireplace and many small extra touches. Free kayaking and canoeing and many other outdoor options. Shared kitchen gave a real bed and breakfast feel and a chance to meet other guests. The breakfast package gives lots of healthy organic options. Bright stars, loons, (distant) wolf howls completed the...

I stayed at the Domain of Killien for a weekend at the end of June, to attend my good friend's wedding. As I stated in my heading this really was the best wedding I've ever been too...Not just because I was surrounded by many of my closest friends and the vows were short but because the location was AMAZING!!! Having...

This past June, about forty of us gathered for a small family wedding. We had the place to ourselves for two nights and everything was absolutely charming. Cozy cabins, comfy beds, first class food. And the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming and professional - among the very best I've encountered anywhere I've traveled. It's too bad the Domain is closing...

I first stayed at the Domain of Killien during the summer of 1986 and then again during the winter of 1987. On both occasions we had a fantastic time: Canadian rustic luxury but without ostentation or attitude. I returned again after 26 years during October 2011 and found the Domain to be almost exactly as I remembered, it was almost...

Amazing is all I can really say. Myself and a group of friends had the pleasure of staying at the Domain this past weekend to celebrate a wedding. The atmosphere, food, rooms and service was 110%, not one thing went wrong the entire weekend…. I was very sad to say goodbye on Sunday, it is such a disappointment that I...

Spent this past weekend at the Domain at the most perfect wedding ever! Lynn and staff couldn't have done more to make sure that everything was memorable. The food, the service, the comfort of the rooms - were wonderful. It is very sad that this peaceful haven is closing. It will be missed! Clare P.
