I stayed at the lodge as part of a large group on a two day retreat, and we had a phenomenal time. Both abseiling and donkey pub crawl were incredible, once in a lifetime experiences! The dormitories were clean and comfortable, and it was great that the kitchen was so well stocked with cutlery, dishes, pans, etc. I wish they...

We were at the lodge for a fishing documentary. Jono and his team looked after us as if we were royalty. Great food "bread from heaven" and accommodation was comfortable. After spending 3 nights in the Gorge, we were ravenous and buggered. The lodge catered for our every need. Will definitely be back for more than the three nights we...

The road of 85 km from Roma is new and in excellent condition except for the rocks that have fallen down onto the tar.The lodge is on the edge of a mountain so access to the units is not easy, many steep steps. our rondavel, no. 11 was comfortable. Due to low water level the hydro-electric plant was not working....

There are very few places that quite measure up to expectations, Semonkong Lodge goes beyond. In the tradition of true hospitality Jon and Armelle run the lodge with genuine warmth and friendliness. They have built, and continue to develop, a business that compliments their surroundings and advantages the village in the best possible way. I would recommend Semonkong Lodge to...

Stayed at Semonkong Lodge for 4 days and loved how everything was well organised and ready at request. The food was fantastic, especially the dinners and the breakfast "liphaphatha" in the local language which my partner took on our journey back to Bloemfontien, The staff and locals were friendly and the donkeys and horses had just the right amount of...

I went there with 3 friends from Maser with public transport. If you also plan to do this go to the Manonyani Taxi Rank and find a bus which goes to Semonkong. From the stop you still need to walk 10-15 minutes but signs will show you the way. The lodge is nice and clean. You can go for hikes,...

On arriving which was to be for 3 nights turned into 13 nights. Weather was lovely when we arrived but never gave it a thought that we could possibly get snowed in. We were a group of about 14 people and 8 children. We couldn't wait to get out onto the road in our 4 x 4's to go exploring...

Husband and I went for dinner. Luckily we had a 4x4 to get there....road is really not good. Waitress a bit confused as to whether we were guests from the cottages or from outside and we were asked 4 times what our room number is. Menu small but good options. Husband had the curry lentil soup for starters. Spicy and...

We went there as friends, first time ever visiting Lesotho. Even though the drive was long and a bit scary it certainly was worth it when we got to Semonkong lodge. Amazing service, hospitality and food (mabele flapjacks) were the highlight of my stay there. The night watch Ntate Polile (Paul) such an amazing man. The bed was very comfortable...
