This is the only place we stayed in Lesotho so we cannot make comparisons. What we can say is that is was a tremendous 3 night stay. The Rondavels are not up to a hotel room in a 4 star hotel but are perfectly adequate and everything works. If a bit chill in the evening there is a wood fire...

The road or track off the main road to this destination was crazy but manageable in 4 x 4. Excellent food and surprising given the isolated region of Semonkong. Freshly cooked breakfast. Accommodation was in a well equipped rondeval situated above on the hillside with many steps up from the central area where one parks vehicle. The lodge is set...

Place is rustic. Rooms fair and the dinner was poor quality. Booked for two nights but left after one. The road there is very bad. Went in a hatchback, and barely made it through. When it rains, most of the roads get flooded and getting through without a 4x4 is tough. The locals are very helpfull though. The recreational facilities...

Really great stopover in Lesotho third time trip to Semongkong on adventure bikes most probably the best motorbike riding in the world absolutely stunning scenery and so many corners that you can actually get motion sickness on a bike. Rooms food and service all good and staff very helpful and accommodating.

Visited Semonkong Lodge in August 2016. Timing was great! Landed in Johannesburg from Singapore, rented a car and embarked on our journey to Lesotho. Made a stopover at Kroonstad before driving the next morning. Upon entering Lesotho from Maseru entrance, you can see the difference between South Africa and Lesotho, much more relaxed although we saw burning tyres at the...

I found the homemade bread and the locally produced fries and lamp chops extraordinarily delicious. Kudos to the kitchen staff. The pub crawling in town on donkeys was hilarious 😂. Plenty of things to do and will be back.

We arrived in lesotho with one night booked at katse dam hotel, when they said they were full we headed towards Semonkong as we heard it was awesome. We arrived hoping for a cabin or camp sight they were pretty fully booked (campsite very small) The staff were so helpful and friendly and bent over backwards to help us The...

Semonkong was a breathtaking place to visit. The falls were beautiful and the lodge was fantastic. The food and service were outstanding. The lodge is around a two hour drive from Maseru and the views on the way are spectacular.
