Place is rustic. Rooms fair and the dinner was poor quality. Booked for two nights but left after one. The road there is very bad. Went in a hatchback, and barely made it through. When it rains, most of the roads get flooded and getting through without a 4x4 is tough. The locals are very helpfull though. The recreational facilities...

Really great stopover in Lesotho third time trip to Semongkong on adventure bikes most probably the best motorbike riding in the world absolutely stunning scenery and so many corners that you can actually get motion sickness on a bike. Rooms food and service all good and staff very helpful and accommodating.

Visited Semonkong Lodge in August 2016. Timing was great! Landed in Johannesburg from Singapore, rented a car and embarked on our journey to Lesotho. Made a stopover at Kroonstad before driving the next morning. Upon entering Lesotho from Maseru entrance, you can see the difference between South Africa and Lesotho, much more relaxed although we saw burning tyres at the...

I found the homemade bread and the locally produced fries and lamp chops extraordinarily delicious. Kudos to the kitchen staff. The pub crawling in town on donkeys was hilarious 😂. Plenty of things to do and will be back.

Comfortable and beautiful! We had a great time at Semonkong lodge. If you go just a bit off the beaten track there are incredible views to explore. Service at the lodge is great, and the food is awesome too! We'll deginitely go there again! Highly recommended.

Semonkong was a breathtaking place to visit. The falls were beautiful and the lodge was fantastic. The food and service were outstanding. The lodge is around a two hour drive from Maseru and the views on the way are spectacular.

Quint but local. If you are looking for a tranquil stop in Lesotho this is the place to be. Hiking trails and horse back tours available with guides. Waterfall close. Road a little bit steep in places.

This is a place of contrasts... an excellent private family owned hotel / lodge with a personal touch, clean and spacious rooms, excellent food, a well stocked bar and friendly staff right in the middle of rural Lesotho. This is commendable, considering the effort to maintain all of this so far from the city! Definitely worth a visit...
