Nakiska Ranch is a wonderful secluded spot to base an exploration of the local area from. Family style dinner/breakfast served daily with a chance to compare notes with other visitors. Lovely. Meet the dogs, the cows and horses on a stroll about. A wonderful experience.

No personal gripes against the host who was very nice and the place overall has the makings of a lovely 'ranch.' But whilst this place may have been in its prime in 2003 (as the awards indicate inside the main building), it is looking extremely tired in 2016. The land around the property is beautiful but very poorly maintained. Everything...

It was a pleasure to stay at Nakiska Ranch having spent over a week in a number of traditional hotels. Although the rooms are fairly basic ours was clean and comfortable. The Ranch is well placed for exploring the charms of Wells Gray Provincial Park. However it was the excellent food that really made our stay truly memorable. My husband...

Las was very gracious and it is a good experience to stay at the ranch. However I would not recommend it for ppl travelling in a large family or with kids as as it more like home stay with basic facilities. The bathrooms are not attached even though they are next door. One room had a shower that was very...

Nakiska Ranch is located near the end of the road into Wells-Gray Park, so the scenery is really wild and green in the spring. The owners have great tips on what to see, especially the waterfalls which were spectacular with the spring snow melt. The cabins are square-cut log structures and re-used ranch buildings from the original settlers, but upscaled...

Host was friendly and helpful. However Rooms were very basic, dirty, unfinished, blood on pillows, no tv and no wi fi, nothing to do at lodgings with no entertainment, no privacy and occupants off the main living quarters very loud.

This was a cabin on a Ranch in the middle of Wells Gray Provincial Park, right next to nature and well away from any frills. We stayed in May - between seasons - and had received an email to state that the on site restaurant would be closed, so make appropriate arrangements for feeding prior to arrival. This was a...

We stayed for one night at this Ranch, and the stay was very nice. The Ranch is close to different trails and falls of Wells Gray Provincial Park, the rooms were nice but cleanliness (especially of bed) could be better... breakfast was very good.

I must admit that when I booked Nakiska Ranch I assumed that I would need to buy provisions for dinner and breakfast to prepare in the kitchen provided. However Lars, the genial Danish host, cooks a mean steak and provides a number of delicious accompaniments followed by an extremely tasty home made apple pie. As for breakfast the omelette, bacon,...
