My husband and I are driving from Vancouver Island to PEI and back. Being a relatively new amputee, accessibility is important to me. It was very difficult to find a hotel in Creston that had accessible rooms, but the Creston Hotel tried very hard to help us. 1st. obstacle - the hotel has no elevator which would make things difficult. They offered to set us up in a small apartment they have just across the street. 2nd obstacle - there were 4-6 steps outside to get to the room with no handrail. The apartment was a good size and had everything you need if you also want a kitchen and the works. 3rd obstacle - my wheelchair could not fit on either side of the bed, so I couldn’t get in. The living room did have a pull out couch so we slept there. 4th obstacle - my wheelchair just fit into the bathroom, but you had to be very careful no to scrape your fingers. You also could not shut the door, and using the sink you did everything sideways. No shower for me. The hotel itself was clean, our room was very large and for the most part comfortable. Oh and they have a nice pub attached to the main building which was pretty good.…
Stayed for 2 nights in the suites building across the street. It is an older hotel...but well maintained and clean. Staff were very friendly. Prices were reasonable. Located right on the main highway thru town. Walkable to most things.
Stopped for one night passing through Creston. Arrived at midnight, desk was closed but the overnight manager was quick to respond and check us in. Hotel is older but we’ll cared for and very clean. Bed was super comfortable, room was quiet and shower had lots of pressure. Great value, we would stay here again for sure!
The only downside is no elevator. The booking on line was easy. The staff are great. We had a king bed room. Lots of room, clean, comfortable bed, and instant hot water in the shower. The woodwork in the hotel is amazing (try lifting the chairs in the room). The stairs and hallway are wide and carpeted. Access to the hotel is from the parking lot at rear of hotel - not a problem because that is where you park your vehicle for free. Jimmy's Pub and Grill was under our room. Music stops at 11 pm and the hotel provides you with ear plugs. We were warned of our room location. The food and staff are very good at Jimmy's. The cost of the room is very reasonable. We will stay here again. We have also told our family and friends about the Creston Hotel. Thank you.
Older hotel, well renovated and very clean. We were impressed with Jimmy's pub, the staff were friendly and served up an excellent pizza. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Creston is a lovely town and the coffee shop across the street from hotel called Buffalo Trails has a great cup of coffee and fresh baked muffins
We arrived very late at night, check in was easy, even thought the reception was closed. An attendant came very quickly when we rang the night bell. The suite was large, clean and comfortable. Great place to crash for the night!
Do not judge this property by the back-door lobby. The rooms are of generous size, very clean, and recently upgraded. The hand-made wood furnishings in the room and the sculpted wood handrail in the stairwell give this refurbished building a boutique hotel feel. The price was also very reasonable for such comfortable accommodation.
We stayed on the second floor of this centrally located hotel in Creston. There was no elevator. Our room was large, very clean and well appointed, with a comfy bed. We overlooked the Main Street, but there was no issues with noise. The on-site restaurant/pub was unfortunately closed due to Covid. All Covid regulations were in place and followed.
We stopped in Creston after a long drive and quickly looked up hotels online. We wanted to support a local business, not a corporate hotel, so arrived at the Creston Hotel, in the middle of town, about 9pm. The lobby appeared "closed" but there was a phone for after hours, so I picked it up. The hostess said she would be with us in a few minutes so we grabbed our bags and she was magically there. She was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and coffee station. The location in the centre of town was perfect, as we had restaurants and shops all around us. Parking was free, wifi was good. Great unexpected surprise.
We stayed here for just one night and it was the perfect thing for our stop over. Super affordable. We had 2 queen room and it was $125. Very appropriately priced. Room was clean, but somewhat dated. Parking was really easy and free. The beds were very comfortable. The restaurant was closed for covid, which was too bad but we went to the brewery and found ourselves a food truck right next to it, which was amazing. Overall, a good experience for a short stay over in Creston.
