Great spot off the beaten path excellent food and service! We stopped by on our way to emerald lake and was pleasantly surprised. Try the carribean roti or the most amazing beet burger. If you are driving through definitely recommend stopping by.

We stayed here for one night before heading to Jasper. It was a great launching point to the beauty of the area. The rooms are pretty basic but the food at the restaurant and the friendly staff made it a great choice!

At first it looks like a little country restaurant with an above average view (spectacular) but the cooks certainly aren't small country. There is not just one special dish ,they are all special. Excellent is an understatement. If you happen to be traveling down transcanada hi way#1 stop into field b.c . With only a couple of streets it's not...

We had dinner here after a day of hiking. Menu looked wonderful with a good selection of wine. The restaurant was very busy and the food being served to others looked wonderful. Our soup was very good but our main course was only OK. Our duck was over cooked and the pasta was very starchy. The staff was wonderful and...

Quaint Inn with upper and lower floors in the small town of Field. Large screen tv with multiple channels and intermittent wifi (wifi was more reliable downstairs). Upper floor room was nicely decorated and spacious for a typical hotel room. Small window in a sitting area provided natural light and although the railroad tracks are near the building, we were...

We spent one night at Truffle Pigs on a trip to Banff and were very glad we did. I wanted to spend a night near Lake Louise and was VERY glad we chose a plce away from the hustle and bustle. We happened to be in the area over (Canadian!) Labour Day, which I'm sure added to the unbelievable crowds...

When the nearest options are Golden (which is basically just a big industrial looking place with no character) or Banff (which is grossly overpriced) Field is a fantastic and quaint alternative. Truffle Pigs was awesome!! The room was spacious enough, shower pressure good, comfortable beds, clean, nice little chocolate truffles on the beds a finishing touch. Parking available and great...

We were smitten with the online presentation of the Truffle Pigs Lodge and Restaurant and perhaps we expected too much. The room was fine, although the bathroom was quite small. We tried to access the Internet in our room, on the balcony as well as in the lobby but it simply was not available. Even though our dinner choice was...

(Opinion based on lunch and dinner.) What a nice place to eat if you are travelling the Kicking horse Pass. It is simple but the food is unexpectidly good and special; how about borscht (Russian Beat soup), or strip loin with caffe sauce? At dinner time you may have to wait a while to be seated, as more people have...
