My partner and I went to Truffle Pigs for our anniversary weekend of hiking and mountain adventures this year and we absolutely loved it. Great location, Dog (big dog) friendly rooms and property, and fantastic food coming out of the Bistro. Our only issue was that the heat wouldn't shut off at all no matter what we did. Luckily, it... We stayed three nights at the Truffle Pigs Lodge in late Sept. Our room was furnished with two cushioned chairs, a small table, coffee maker, microwave, small frig., TV and two night stands. It had a good sized closet and coat hooks on the wall but there were only two medium sized drawers for storing clothes, see photos. Unfortunately, I... More

Rooms were warm, clean and comfortable, but rather dated (brown and beige decor) and basic. No kettle. Welcome basket, no bargains. The location was an excellent base for the Yoho national park, especially the Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge, both must does, avoiding the more touristy locations. Personally, I was kept awake on the second evening by the trains, which... More

This is a samll intimate hotel. When we stayed the TV was nit working because of some larger issues with the cable company in this remote village. Believe me, it did not spoil our stay as this place doesn't need TV. Look out the window. Surrounded by Yoho National park forests you feel nestled right up against the forest. The... More

My wife and I stayed at Truffle Pigs Lodge for a couple of nights in September 2016. When we arrived at the hamlet known as Field we were a little worried about our choice. This didn't improve on checking in and going through to the bar that is designed for easy maintenance and for walkers etc. to wander in without... More

This is a great little hotel for a relaxing stay in a small town. Rooms were on the small side but very modern and very clean. Hotel was quiet, it has a lounge/ restaurant part of it, but very quiet as it closes early. the trains are close, but far enough away that it wont disrupt your sleep. We will... More

We had an upstairs kitchenette, loaded with little local extras - toiletries and chocolate. It was eco-friendly and adorable. We loved the lodge atmosphere and the workers, who were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had excellent food. We would stay again, for the location, food, and overall experience!

Our group booked 6 different rooms at once. Everyone got exactly what they needed, and everyone felt completely at home at this lovely, relaxed Lodge. Why stay at expensive park lodges in the area when you can stay in the little village of Field, in the friendliest little Lodge?

We loved this place. The decor and atmosphere of the room were really nice. There was a mini fridge which is great for road trips and a little coffee machine with some coffee packs and cups. The beds were comfortable and warm. The rooms were really clean. The location of the lodge is great too. The only negative was that... More

We arrived here very late at night but the hotel was kind enough to hide a key for us. The room is very cozy with a nice mountain view. The bathroom is very large. The hotel is set up more like a lodge with your own separate entrance. We also highly recommend the resteraunt.
