Spent one night there in early February and loved it. We had a room with a king size bed. Room was immaculate and carefully designed. Has a German/Swiss feel, which I guess comes from the owners. No restaurant or breakfast at this total off-season, but very nice accommodations. Right in the heart of Lunenberg, on Montague street, near cafés, shops...

Thank you very much for staying with us and your positive review. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. You might visit us in spring or summer then you will feel the maritime touch of Lunenburg in its full bloom. Thank you again for staying with us. It was a pleasure talking to you. Eva Ziegler

From the time we met with the 2 ladies at the front counter at time of check in giving us instructions as to where to unload and park, to the time we left they were most accommodating and pleasant to talk to. These 2 ladies know what excellent customer service is and how to make sure their guests are looked...

As a travel-weary urbanite seeking a quiet place to work in peace for a few weeks, I called Smugglers Cove Inn and was intrigued by Eva’s warm, business-like, and distinctly European voice. Her willing answers to my questions convinced me that I would indeed find the comfort and efficiency that I needed. What I didn’t expect was the overtly appealing...

We recently stayed here for two nights and found it comfortable. The only concern would be for people that don't like stairs. You need to climb 5 stairs to get in, and then the elevator has steps right outside of it which I thought was odd. The rooms for comfortable and the location is great. The Internet is also quite...

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Lunenburg. We stayed in a really nice room with a wonderful view to the town and the waterfront. We had a little balcony where we could watch the sunset. The room was really clean and the staff was very polite and helpful. We can recommend this hotel to everybody and will be back soon.

Another great trip. Eva was cordial as always. Great value, clean neat, and more than acceptable. I was also able to receive my hometown news station on the television. On-site restaurant needs some love however.

We found this hotel to be centrally located, clean and comfortable, with a view of the harbour and main street, and within easy walking distance to many major attractions. Registration was courteous and efficient. Guests each receive $3.00 value coupons for breakfast in the attached restaurant but we didn't have time to use ours, so we can't comment on the...

We stayed two nights in this small hotel right in the middle of Lunenburg Old Town. Building apparently old too, but in good shape. Rooms cosy and functional. Pricing is very reasonable and it is no luxury, but functional and good value. Except the beds which were just excellent. Not basic hotel quality but really high quality. On our 7...

Charming! Located in the center of town on a main drag. Very quiet, With plenty of restaurant choices , book stores & boutiques. Our room was huge, abit more than we needed, it had a full kitchen for longer stays. Our friend had a very small room as compared, but very clean and comfortable as well. The owner is a...

This hotel was very charming, the room was amazing, loved the whiskey barrel key chain holders, the registration was fast and very courteous. I was worried about going to this hotel with my mom who has issues with stairs but they had an elevator to the third floor and from my bed I watched the sunrise over the neighbouring buildings,...
