We had booked our stay a few months ago and had put down that my husband and I didn't eat dairy or meat (my mom did so it was just 2 special requests). There was an ownership change and they didn't have our requests - we had NOTHING to worry about - the new owners were AMAZING. Aletha was FANTASTIC...

We had the Bluenose Suite on the third floor. When we arrived, we parked in the back parking lot (it's small and tight). We used the outside stairwell to the room to bring our luggage into the room. Taking it through the house and using the inside stairwell would have been difficult because the stair to the third floor was...

The 1880 Kaulbach House Historic Inn is a wonderful place to stay in Lunenburg. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the sitting area in the Bluenose Suite is incredible. If you are thinking of visiting this pretty, little town then I would definitely recommend staying here!

This is an ideal location for exploring Lunenburg. Everything is within walking distance- waterfront, food, shops, and the gorgeous historic churches. Rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. The new owners are off to a fantastic start. Breakfast was superb- Alitha is the queen of muffins! Ed could not be more helpful! Wish you much success in your new phase of...

We really enjoyed staying at the Kaulbach House and having a chance to meet the owners Brian and Jennie. As others described, the room was smaller than some but nicely decorated, with the sink next to the bed. But the shower was perfect and the bed quite comfortable. We travel light on luggage so it was no problem. Breakfast was...

Had a wonderful stay. You will probably not see Jennie(wife) she does the cooking but Brian will tend to your ever need. The steps are steep so someone who had issues with stairs it could be an issue. There is a set of stairs that can be accessed from the outside of the home at the rear which are wider...

We were among the last guests of the owners of this B&B, who had just sold the inn and were handing over operations toward the end of June 2016. Therefore, it won't be helpful for me to write about details of our experiences (which were largely positive) with the old owners and how they ran the B&B, because I'm quite...

Easy to find and in a great location to just park and walk the historic little town. We were able to pick our room when we made a reservation so there was no surprise when we found a well appointed. The wifi was not operational in our room, but just out in the hall in the Widow's Watch it worked...

I hesitate to write negative reviews, but have decided to post this one for the benefit of other travellers with children. I generally book B&Bs because of the more friendly/intimate experience they provide. Unfortunately our experience with this B&B started off poorly, and while it improved somewhat, it was difficult for us to get over our initial discomfort. When we...

It should be made clear that at no time were we told about a baby until they arrived at the Inn. We have had many children stay with us without any problems but all parents have let us know beforehand so that we can discuss their requirements. The only room that takes more than 2 persons was occupied. Rather than...

We had the third floor suite (The Bluenose) and loved it. Great view of the harbour and the option of our own entrance from the back parking area was a bonus. The king bed was comfortable and the space overall, roomy and cosy. David greeted everyone each morning in their beautiful dining room, introducing guests and serving as Jenny prepared...
