Barry and Susie go to great lengths to make their home welcoming and comfortable to guests, and breakfast is excellent. The location is perfect for visiting all the sites in, and around, Lunenburg, and despite being right in the hub of the town, the garden is a haven of tranquillity.

Great place, great location, great hosts. Sorry that we couldn't have stayed longer to find out our hosts' real personalities. We know now why people should spend more than one night in Lunenburg. Was fun visiting with Barry on his veranda & meeting Susie for breakfast, which was super. Fun meeting people from England & Switzerland. Thanks for the advice...

We really enjoyed our stay. Susie & Barry make you feel vary welcome. Breakfast was great as well. Anything you want to know about Lunenburg, Ask Barry. If It happens to be raining, Settle down in the reading room with a book. It will probably turn into a nap. Its that sort of comfortable place.

On the recommendation of the local "tourist information office," we found this charming home to be more than we could have hoped for. The hosts, Barry and Susie, were very welcoming and offered helpful suggestions about local sites. The weather was rainy on our first day so we spent a little time sightseeing as well as resting and enjoying the...

We recently stayed at this delightful B & B in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. A beautiful old home and Susie and Barry were wonderful hosts. They prepared a wonderful breakfast for us and gave us detailed maps and instructions to explore the town and surroundings. What an interesting town!!! Lovely old home with gorgeous furniture. Short walk to all the sites!!...

We read all the reviews and weren't sure where to stay, but we were happy that we chose this B & B. The hosts were convivial, and we loved meeting some of the other guests. Because Lunenburg is on a hill, there are three rooms on the ground floor ( so you so not have to carry suitcases upstairs), but...

Maplebird is a delightful, cozy B&B. Within easy walking distance to Fisheries Museum, waterfront, shops and good restaurants. Our friendly, knowledgeable hosts, Susie and Barry provided great breakfasts including bowls of fresh fruits, yogurt, and freshly baked treats (scones, muffins, French toast) along with good conversation. The big porch overlooking the lawn, gardens, harbor and hills beyond was a relaxing...

We can only recommend this B&B. The house is very nice and authentic and so are the hosts. Not to forget the town where it is located. Breakfast was outstanding. Unfortunately it was too cold to use the swimming pool.

What a delightful stay we had at the Maplebird House! The rooms are equipped with private baths and there is a wonderful sitting room for the guests, including books and a fireplace! The inn is located on a quiet street and has parking which is a plus for Lunenburg. This quaint town is very walkable from the inn and the...

My husband and I visited Nova Scotia in the middle of September and stayed one night each at 3 bed and breakfasts. Our experience at Maplebird House ranked way above the other two. Susie and Barry obviously care a lot about making guests comfortable. From all the small but welcome touches in the bedroom and bath to a great introduction...
