Found the Sooke Harbour House on the internet and booked for 4 nights. Staff was very accommodating to get us the room we were looking for. Our room was very nice with beach front access, a hot tub, and great amenities. We had a couples massage which was done in our room and was very relaxing. The food at the...

This is a perfect setting for anyone who wishes to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Step back in time in a serene setting surrounded by amazing gardens. Local artisans display fabulous art in each area. There's beach combing right out your patio door. The food is fantastic. Will be back. You can't capture the beauty and...

While the accommodations here were lovely, the food was not nearly the marvel I was led to expect. We were there mid-week in late March, and had dinner two nights and breakfast one night. The fisherman's stew was basically a hunk of salmon with a little lomato broth and a few verges and clams. The chowder we had on the...

These are condo type accomodations with full compliment of appliances including washer and dryer. Outdoor hot tub, movie rentals and very friendly staff. Beautiful views of the Sooke harbour with walking trails close by. Quiet and peaceful no matter what the weather. Drive to downtown Victoria is 50 minutes not using Trans Canada highway, which can be terrible at certain...

We had been warned that we would be disappointed, and unfortunately our friends were correct. There are many positive things to say about Sooke Harbour House, but it is no longer the very special place it once was--no longer a real touch of class. When we were last there, many years ago, everything was perfectly wonderful, from the garden to...

I booked a room for just one night, as a surprise to celebrate my Husband's 60th birthday. I then contacted the hotel to make a dinner reservation, advise them that my Husband is a celiac, and also to tell them that he'd be celebrating a milestone birthday while we were there. From the minute I made that reservation, every contact...

We had a great time here celebrating our anniversary. The accommodations, meals, and service were all enjoyable. We especially enjoyed sitting in The Copper Room a couple of evenings, having drinks by the crackling fireplace. Lots of beaches and trails in the area for exploring.

Excellent bar with really good food in the evenings again with big log fire. Breakfast served in the main dining room where the service could be faster. All round lovely facility

Sooke Harbour House Resort Hotel is located on Southern Vancouver Island overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Olympic Mountains, and has direct beach access to Whiffin Spit on the Juan de Fuca Strait. Our unique 28 rooms feature a selection of fine amenities including spa tubs and steam showers. All of the guest rooms have wood-burning fireplaces and ocean views, with the exception of the very spacious family room which overlooks our garden area. The internationally award-winning fine -dining restaurant serves organic, seasonal, Canadian cuisine, specializing in wild seafood, mushrooms, herbs, and flowers from its organic gardens. We offer meeting facilities, spa services, recreational activities and eco-tourism in pristine wilderness. Whale watching can be enjoyed within walking distance, and on occasion the Orcas swim in front of the hotel! The Sooke Harbour House is a perfect destination for weddings, romantic holidays and an 'any season getaway'. In 2016 all 28 guest rooms were sympathetically renovated with new carpets, beds, luxury linens and 40 inch flat screens with cable tv. In September 2016 we opened our wonderful new Copper Room, featuring a large selection of Island produced craft beers, wines and spirits as well as international favourites. The Copper Room is open from 11:00am to 9:00pm year-round daily, serving a more casual menu of wholesome and hearty foods as an alternative to our fine dining. *** Please note: From 18th October until May 31st our fine-dining restaurant is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday. It is open for dinner Thursday to Monday from 5.30pm to 9.00pm. Throughout the high season the fine dining restaurant is open 7 days a week for dinner. The Copper Room is open daily serving food and beverages making Sooke Harbour House a full service resort. ... more   less
