Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with the studio unit, It was spacious and very clean. We would like to return one day. Magog/Orford is a lovely place to visit. We enjoyed looking at the Halloween decorations outdoors.

Asking for 95 dollars (+ taxes) for cleaning is not acceptable when you find a layer of dust on the furniture! The whole place is incredibly dull. Renovations seem to be going on but the carpets are a disaster. The 'kitchen' was a bit of a joke, for ex. : only one small glass and 2 tea-spoons.... But the bathroom was clean, the shower system excellent (once we managed to work the knob which was stuck on the highest temperature), and the bed confortable. We needed to be in the area but wouldn't go back for pleasure...So the 3 year no-return ban is no problem at all!

Exchanged into here with our time share points and got a studio suite. The staff where there at sign in on the Sunday but after that no one is around till the following weekend. We gave them a list of things that needed fixing and for more supplies on the Sunday after an hour of checking in. Here are some things we told them. Only one glass to drink from. No kettle to boil water. Toilet was loose on floor. Blinds were broke. There was a floor lamp with the complete socket hanging out with the two wires exposed. There are no dressers for your clothing anywhere. Other than these and a few other things like the pool was not open and the gardens were a mess, our stay was quiet and the location is great.

The whole front of the resort has last year's growth of weeds still there. Grass at the rear entrance to units was never cut and full of dandelions. Pool was never opened until our last day when guests with kids showed up. Pool and hot tub were filthy with lots of debris. When we booked we were quoted a $95 cleaning fee per stay but were gouged for it per week. There were only 2 glasses, a juice glass and a highball. Never got another one until day 11 of our 2 week stay. Noise from other units heard at all times. There was no oven-proof microwave dishes. BBQ had to be used as there was no stove and they were just filthy with crude from last year so we had to fry all meals. No "Info Book" present to explain use of things in unit or helpful info on restaurants, attractions. Found 1 in rotunda on day 11. No one was present in reception during the week, only on registration day on weekends. No phone in unit or anywhere in resort for emergencies. We did not have a cell phone ant there are none in town anywhere. Very unsafe feeling.

This is a studio apartment which is a generous size. It could easily have been divided with a wall between the sleeping area and the living/kitchenette area to create a proper apartment. I could see no reason for a Murphy bed. There were no table lamps in the apartment, no bedside lamps or tables. The one floor lamp was rickety and had to be unplugged to turn off. The kitchenette had minimal supplies (only 3 plates and bowls) and absolutely NO counter space. We had to put the coffee maker and toaster on top of the stove top to use them. We were required to do our own dishes but there was no dish rack (given the limited counter space, we put the dishes on the table to dry). The first dish I pulled out of the cupboard was dirty so I felt I had to prewash all the dishes and cutlery before using anything. Cupboard doors were sticky. There was a full sized fridge which was nice. There was only one towel rack in the bathroom. But a lovely European rainshower. Within the resort, there was a comfortable glassed in solarium which was cozy, although the fireplaces were not allowed to be lit. Some nice restaurants were right across the street. And easy access to Magog.

the hotel was rather boring, but it was off season. No major concern other than floor of shower dangerously slippery. After checkin, no one was available other than by telephone during our stay. Thankfully, we had researched the area.

Perfect for a romantic long weekend getaway. Picturesque setting for hiking and biking, restaurants and wineries, not to mention the charming towns of the Eastern Townships. Easy to reach in less than an hour from Downtown Montreal; less than 90 minutes from Trudeau International airport.

The quality of the kitchen materials and appliances is poor. They charge 95$ for cleaning and they ask you to take your garbage out to the container in the parking lot.. No staff during the week.. The bed is low and uncomfortable.

Reserved a room for 7nights, arrived in evening to find that room card had been forgotten, had to call the receptionist who is not on site and wait for her to arrive. Room was minimalist to say the least- white walls bare minimum. We were given a studio while we reserved a one bedroom suite through RCI- we called before placing the reservation to ensure we were getting a private room. Had to argue to get what we reserved - when we switched to the room- there is a pull out bed- but mattress was in the closet- as the pull out is broken. There is no bathtub, no closet (cause there is a mattress in the closet) and bare minimum kitchen utensils - ultra cheap quality. No foot towel in bathroom, fan not working in bathroom, master bed is a Murphy bed. Overall, what should have been a relaxing vacation turned out to be a lacklustre experience. Would not recommend for extended stay, only one night.

Nicely located and affordable place near ski resort and lake. Convenient stores and cozy restaurants can be found just across the street. Rooms appear highly variables in terms of comfort. Our room felt very cold in terms of decor, only one small tiny window, minimalistic furniture and walls without any frames. Make you feel like when you enter an empty apartment. But the biggest issue is that the walls are not soundproof at all. When your neighbour take a shower ( which is very nice by the way) it feels like there is a thunderstorm in the room; i actually found that funny as i stayed only one night. But, I certainly would not recommend for an extended stay.
