located just outside Santa Elena with easy access to the ruins and cave tubing. Room was large with two queen beds and a single! All public areas were clean and well maintained, pretty gardens with pond and turtles! nice pool although you had to use your bath towels for the pool. We only ate breakfast there - which was not...

Stayed here as part of a group trip, so cannot comment on value Positives - Large rooms (some with Fridges/microwaves) - Clean - Quiet Negatives - Need to take a taxi into town (its cheap tho, so not a problem) - Staff not overly helpful/friendly While not a problem with the hotel, the optional excursions in Santa Elena/San Ignacio are...

Nice 2nd floor room, but they have an ant problem. Nice pool and pond. Some huge iguanas hanging out there. 10 min walk to groceries, 30-40 min to restaurants. The in-hotel restaurant is pretty good. Weak wifi signal does not reach most of the rooms.

Thanks for your comments. We apologize for mother's nature issues with ants. We have had a serious ant issue not only at the hotel but all over Belize. They are trying to avoid the rain and run for cover. We do our best to control them but we can't fight mother nature. Note, the ants are a bit of a...

Stayed here as part of a tour. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is mould free which is fantastic. They have comfortable beds - not as rock hard as the other places we stayed. Wifi is a bit slow and drops out every so often. Shower pressure is good and water is hot. Reception staff unfortunately is rude with...

I have stayed here on several occasions. Everytime it has been almost excellent. There is some bug problems but far less than most places I have stayed at in Belize. The pool is excellent. Well maintained. The restaurant is good, more expensive than uptown but always good food. Service is excellent. The location is out of the way somewhat It...

Thank you for your review. We do try our best with the bug issue in our area. It is hard when everyone including those with little legs are trying to get out of the rain. We continue to work on that issue. Thanks for staying with us.

We stayed at the Aguada for a week. The rooms were really clean, air conditioned, and quiet. The pool was excellent, and there is a cute little pond full of bullfrogs, tadpoles, turtles, and plants, which provided us with entertainment. The hotel is in Santa Elena (the twin town of San Ignacio), but it is an inexpensive, short cab ride...

We originally were booked at the Canal Pech Resort, but after one night, I begged to leave due to infestation of ants and little water pressure in showers. Although the view was beautiful, it wasn't worth the $$$. The restaurant was sub par and service was lacking. The hotel service was good. So we were recommended by ReMax agent John...

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that the workers at Aguada were amazing to us. We were a medical mission trip group from Indiana US. The hotel manager was in communication with our group leader and for a small fee we could come swim and use the WiFi after a long day of working in the hospitals....

The Aguada is operated by a wonderful Belizean/American family, the Butchers. Shalue Butcher manages it when she is not teaching at Galen (?) University and she does a great job of keeping visitors happy. The staff are ALL good people who seem happy at their jobs, and as helpful as can be. There's an excellent pool, A.C. in each room...
