This is hotel suitable for outdoor activities in the surrounding nature. Being a 3 star hotel, services, and facilities provided by the hotel were better than expected.
We did not like the room so much. It was small and the old carpet was far from being clean. Some reconstruction could be made.
However, that was the only thing we did not like. Staff was very friendly and helpful, services were great, so was the food. We had a lot of fun in wellness as well, which is free for the guests.
So despite the not so good room, I can recommend this hotel.

We usually spent our holiday in 4 stars hotels. Plejsy has 3 stars, but the apartments are higher level. We reserved from this. It was 60 m2, clean, the equipment is beautiful. The foods were delicious, but the choice was poor. The pools are clean, these was opened from 10 o'clock and the saunas from 17 o'clock.
In this country nobody speak English or German except receptionists.
The hotel situated on wonderful place, surrounded mountains next to ski runs.
We are satisfied with this accommodation.

The Hotel has a nice location near the forest but the road to the hotel is very bad. There are no clear signs to show you the right direction and driving a car there is a challenge. The hotel itself is not big, probably renovated few years ago, clean but looks used. What I did not like was that the hotel claims to be non-smoking but on may balcony was an ashtray - why??

I was part of a group booking, which had reservations for a week in Hotel Plejsy. OK do you want the good news or the bad news first? Yes, always better to start with the bad news and get it over with and, anyway, the good news may not be relevant after the shock of the bad news. This place has all the trappings of soviet style accommodation, remodelled by someone who has about as much taste as a retired nomenklatura. The rooms are more like prison cells, with beds that sport rough towelling covers instead of sheets. The internet is hopeless and only works in lobby area and then not very well. The décor should win some sort of prize for cheap, gaudy and senseless. Then there is the food, which was atrocious. Everything was heated up, packed based and tasteless (expect for the times when the salt content made blood pressure sore). It was even hard to figure out sometimes what the ingredients were! One morning we found green mould on the bread. Complaints just got a sorry from the very accommodating young waiter but that’s as far as it went. By day three, we started to order in pizza, delivery from the nearby town. In that same town, some of the locals told is ‘oh yes, everyone complains about the fool at that hotel’. I was too afraid to even try the wellness centre at Hotel Plejsy, after the state of the rest of the place. God knows what might be lurking in the water. So, onto the good points: the staff, for the most part, couldn’t have be nicer (but the night porter should have some English); the location is spectacular; it is only an hours drive from Kosice and they have a bowling ally. Whoever owns this hotel hasn’t a clue how to run a business and is obviously only thinking of the short-term gain and small money. With some real imagination and flair, this hotel could be fantastic instead of the dump it is.

Great hotel, food, ski place, staff. The best thing about it is wellness and spa centre it has a medium sized pool, big jacuzzi, and five saunas. There is no smoking area in the hotel. Rooms are small but well equipped, only there is no fridge in it. This ski centre has its own ski slopes that are good for beginners and professionals, its big and has many ski lifts.

I do not know what to start simply, hotel living in socialism, nothing is done properly and in detail, size of the rooms is insufficient, carpets worn and disgustingly dirty, incredible smell comes out of the bathroom...., food very poor, breakfast insuficient .... hotel is only for people without higher demands for quality, and parking in the mud...and is not located in Tarta Mountains

The greatest advantage of this hotel is the location: it is placed just in front of a small snow park with a nice areas for kids. The building looks quite austere, with a very simple and clear shape, in line with the 70th years style. The interior has been renewed lastly, the hall is quite big and comfortable. As you are in, on your left you have a small room with 2 consoles (Xbox and Wii) and two big screen (rented at 1Euro per hour) and on your right a kids area. All the rooms are equipped with a big LCD TV but the offer of channels is quite limited (1 Russian, 1 Japanese and some other Slovak channels). There is a wellness center which offers your some saunas, a whirlpool and a swimming pool. Massages and other beauty and relax treatments upon request (the price is quite cheap for all of them). The bed are essential and the rooms have a balcony. There is a bar located at ground floor, offering also tennis table, a 2 lane bowling area and other games; i have found also very tasty the beer served there, a Czech one. The restaurant is located at the first floor, the menu offer is limited and the quality of meals is average. The staff is very kind and solves all your requests. You can rent on site all you need for skying. Nice place where to spend some days enjoying the snow!

The hotel is situated in the Tatra Mountains.I came to the hotel with the intention of learning to ski.Plejsy hotel was ideal for this purpose, great located near the ski lift about 50 m.There is a storage room for skis, it is an added advantage for skiers.Service friendly, and helpful knows English.Rooms a little small but adequate, not impress purity. In the restaurant I would recommend to go to dinner with regional specialties, truly worth it.The hotel itself is not the latest, so you can not expect luxury.Getting to the hotel in the winter is not an asset because it is located far from the highway.Hotel only slept a perfect night, and nothing more.
