Having escaped from a terrible B&B in Pieusse (Maison Laurent now closed apparently - good!) we arrived at L'Oustau at short notice. What a relief! Our room was small but perfectly formed. The best feature of this hotel, for us, was the extensive garden which is immaculately maintained. There are plenty of shady spots to relax - or sunbeds by...

Dear Jo G, We thank you for your comments. We are happy to read that you have appreciated your room decoration, our gardens and the staff. As you probably know, you can find 2 restaurants in Baumaniere : our gastronomic restaurant “l’Oustau” , 2 Michelin stars, “la Cabro d’Or” restaurant offering refined cuisine and our “table d’hôte” offering a menu...

We had been to the restaurant a few times in the past and decided to stay at the hotel. The rooms were old and substandard. After asking for a better room, they put us above the restaurant and 5:45 a.m. you could hear workers cleaning up and getting the restaurant ready for the day. What a horrible experience:( So many...

Very nice setting, the hotel has its charme. The garden / park between the houses is really how you imagine it from the movie ' a good year'. Lunch on the terrace of the restaurant is magnificent and the rooms are nice and in line with the rural and rustic style with their charme. Breakfast served as a buffet. Really...

We stayed here and visited the restaurant for dinner. The room was excellent, with everything you would expect, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Although I feel coffee making facilities in the room would be practical. First thing coffee is required, in which you don't have to call anyone. But otherwise the room was lovely, with a great bathroom. Very relaxing,...

The first thing to say is that I've not been to too many five star hotels so I haven't got a huge bank of comparable information, but needless to say, Baumaniere is special. Myself and my partner, after a seemingly endless stretch (12 months) without a holiday of more than four days, wanted relaxation, sun, food of a high standard,...

On a recent trip to Les Baux de Provence my husband booked lunch at Baumaniere les Baux de Provence for my birthday. The grounds are lovely - the staff spotty, the rooms outdated and uncomfortable (even tho we booked a suite and a terrace room). The 2 star restaurant is shocking and should lose its stars. This hotel has lovely staff, good service and great restaurants. The grounds are lovely and I enjoyed seeing the vegetable garden and goats..
