Across the street from THE BRAND NEW AND AMAZING CASTLEGAR KIA, is a gem of a hotel. 6 rooms, beautiful yard, amazing owners and great price points. YOu can go up the road to a Sandman or Super 8 but if a Motel is your Forte, then this is a must stay.

This was a small motel, only six units. The room seemed to be aged but we surmised that the owners are currently working on it and have made improvements, such as the shower stall seemed to have been recently replaced and the bathroom fixtures and kitchen taps were new. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. I don't...

Naomi and Jeffrey were great hosts and went over and above in providing service. We were on a motorcycle weekend and stayed there two nights. The 2 bed room we had was roomy and had nice wood floors and was excellent $$ value. Beds were comfortable and room inside was quiet even though the motel is located on a noisy...

This is a very small motel, but very good. It is near the train tracks but we couldn't hear it during the night, although the one going through around 9 was heard. We weren't woken up during the night. The beds were fantastic and the pillow perfect. The room was huge with lots of room. It also had a large...

The motel is basic and clean, which is what they claim. I had no troubles with noisy neighbours and traffic noise was minimal. I was on the end unit 6 so was a bit more exposure to traffic noise but not bad. Was startled by the train horn a couple times but that was not in the evening at all....

Geoff our host was very nice and the room despite being older was updated clean and comfortable. A nice little green space to sit or eat and was ideal for our dogs. Close to everything in Castlegar and we never noticed the traffic being close to the main road. Nice TV and the wifi worked perfect we could not have...

Love this little motel. We have stayed here a few times over the years. I like the cozy feel and the fact that it's not a chain hotel with a lot of rooms and noisy guests. I would take the small amount of traffic on the street over multiple floors of noisy guests any day.

Recently updated, Excellent cleanliness. Not the greatest water pressure despite good showerhead. No wifi issues at all. Backs on lightly used rail line with pleasant yard space. I snacked on cherries from the trees. apples are one the way. Stayed in #4

When I travel through Castlegar, I always stay at the Flamingo. Rooms are clean, good cable tv, good Wi-fi, the owners are great people, polite, and always helpful. If you have a motorcycle, you have no concerns staying at this motel. They make sure your bike is in a well lit area.

Had planned to camp at Christina Lake for the night but was raining, so carried on to Castlegar after consulting TripAdvisor for a clean, pet friendly motel, and calling to reserve a room. Very welcoming owner that saw to our all our needs late in the evening. Basic accommodation in this old-school 6-room drive up motel, but clean bright and...
