I travel to Cranbrook a few times per year. I totally enjoy staying at St. Eugene Resort. While the check-in staff is pretty good, the bar area staff and dining atmosphere is fantastic.I would recommend staying in the main building for convenience. It is not a large resort but it is in a beautiful setting.

This is a nice resort but seems to be poorly run. Our check in experience was poor and the lady on reception was very rude to our friend, claiming he had no reservation. Service at breakfast is unbelievably slow - allow at least 90 minutes. Often they are out of items on the menu, e.g oatmeal - fairly basic things....

Called enroute to make sure that the two rooms I had booked were adjoining as I was travelling with my Mother who has mild Alzheimer's. During the phone call I was told that they were. On check in I was to.d that while the rooms were next door to each other they weren't adjoining. I was not happy. The front...

We went for a May wedding, golf, and the casino. The wedding preparation by the hotel was wonderful, as was the food. The outside tent facility for the dinner, reception, dance and midnight pizza snacks was great. The wedding ceremony was in the long front courtyard surrounded by trees, and the mountains were a stunning backdrop. We had great weather...

We got a great deal through groupon and as usual the staff treated us very well and any problems we encountered was taken care of right away. We also had a room with a balcony facing the gardens. The only thing I would change is getting a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor to enjoy the scenery better

Our favourite place in the Cranbrook area. Great rooms, restaurant and atmosphere for a place away. We enjoy the open areas....the lounge has become a favourite place to eat and the golf shop a great shopping area for men's stuff... The only thing that I hope they change is the lighting in the rooms...very dark....

The service was excellent. It was a quiet time I travelled so not all amenities were open. The grounds are beautiful with lots of history associated with the building. The mountains around the resort are breathtaking. I do hope to visit again very soon.

This was my third stay at the St. Eugene over a ten-year period and it never disappoints. The rooms and facilities are just as beautiful as the first time I was here. I always stay in the Mission and my room is always lovely. The king size bed was very comfortable, complimentary wifi is strong, and my room was very...

The St Eugene never fails to deliver! It is in a gorgeous setting with stunning views of the Rockie Mountains. While I have never golfed there I do walk the course and it looks amazing. The staff are always friendly and courteous. My one recommendation is to try and stay in the Mission as opposed to the Lodge - rooms...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Framed by the Rockies, the Purcells and the famous St Mary River, the St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino is a spectacular destination for getaways, vacations, conferences and retreats. The resort is located 10 minutes from Cranbrook, 5 minutes from the Cranbrook Airport and 20 minutes from the picturesque town of Kimberley. Within its historic walls and the connecting Lodge are beautifully appointed, modern guestrooms and conference facilities. Visit our Interpretive Centre operated by The Ktunaxa Nation Council to learn more about the building’s fascinating history, and the people, mythology and culture found only in this part of the world. St. Eugene offers a wealth of culinary experiences to please the palate and delight the senses. Onsite food and beverage choices include informal fine dining in the Purcell Grill overlooking the sun-drenched deck and golf course. For individuals looking for a more relaxed setting, unwind with tapas in the Fisher Peak Lounge, play a game of billiards or simply enjoy the 19th Hole Bar & Grill. Also on site is the Casino of the Rockies – decorated in a "Gold rush Boom town" theme with 224 slot machines, 10 table games and delicatessen style dining in Fred’s Saloon. In its inaugural year, our 18-hole, Les Furber-designed course was named "one of Canada’s top new courses" by Golf Digest Magazine. The pristine fairways and white sand bunkers wind their way through several different environments, creating a unique combination of links, forests and a spectacular view of the St. Mary River. Our fitness centre features a fully equipped gym, steam room, sauna, a heated pool and two hot tubs. ... more   less
