Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hostel is fine. I typically stay here in the separate bedroom style rooms which are quite spacious. There are multiple single user toilets on each level and single user shower. It is quite hot in the rooms in the summer time without AC. Hostel: PLEASE FIX THE BROKEN HANGERS IN THE SHOWER. Cheers thx

My friends and I spent just a night in one of the dorm rooms with bunk beds on our way to the Bugaboos in Sept 2018. Found it functional and suited our needs. Since the common kitchen area has all the basic appliances I could heat up and eat my precooked dinner that I was carrying with me. There are basic supplies like tea bags etc in the kitchen.

I had a bad experience during the visit of this hostel. i booked online to see that the room contains Microwave oven, toaster and flat screen TV ( was mentioned in booking confirmation). However, when I went there, I could not find any Microwave oven, toaster and flat screen TV. Those equipment were available in the common area. I was so disappointed. Then, I had conversation with Receptionist about my disappointment. He replied me " you guys can leave the place if you don't like the room. I will not charge you anything.". After leaving that hostel, the cunning receptionist charged my credit card. I was so frustrated about this action. I went back to that hostel to ask him why he lied to me. And he was so disrespectful which make my vacation miserable. I had a very bad experience about this hostel. I will tell people, please visit this hostel first before you book online. Don't believe their words.

I really want to rate this place higher, as it ticks a lot of boxes on paper. It provides free phone booth to call anywhere in Canada. It has free pool table & Netflix TV & generous lounge area, the place is clean & tidy. It also has own bar fridge in each dorm. The shower was hot & nice. However, I have stayed in lots of hostel, this is the oddest set up I have come across. The manager drive from elsewhere to check you in (although he was very prompt), and leaves 1 minute after. There is also no staff on duty. You really can't feel any love. This place has a weird vibe, it almost feels like a place out of the Hitchcock movie. Furniture seems like from old motel / diners. Every single room is directly off the open common area, so can only imagine how nosy this place is when it is busy. Single bench kitchen with 1 stove may be hard to cook when more than a few guest. Only having 2 bathroom & 3 showers really isn't enough for the amount of beds. Towel should be automatically put on guest bed like all other hostel instead of waiting for guest to ask for one, after the manager is long gone. If it's a bed & clean place you are looking for, this place is 5/5 for value. But if you are looking for the community mingle vibe like most other hostel (HI Lake Louise / Dreamcatcher in Golden etc), you will be disappointed. It has a clinical boarding house feel rather than hostel.

Have recently had a two night stay at the Invermere Hostel. It was a well set out hostel with three levels. We had a 6 bed room although there was only 4 of us. Communal area was great on our floor with pool table, lounges and TV located in central area. Toilets were clean, as were the showers, but nowhere to place things in shower room (shelves). Security seemed quite good, and we were also allowed to bring our mountain bikes into the room for added security. This is quite a comfortable hostel, which is located close to some food outlets and close to bike/ski store. Trains were a bit noisy during the night, but that may have been due to the fact our room did face the tracks. It may have been a different story on the other side of the building. A pleasant stay.

Be realistic about your lodging expectations. If you are expecting a luxury hotel, you're going to cry. If you're expecting a budget hotel, you're going to be disappointed. If you're expecting a hostel, you're going to be happy. Nice location. Clean kitchens, bathrooms, showers, common areas (decent pool table). Some mattresses on the bunk beds are good. Others not so much, so try a few before you choose a bed. The weather was incredibly hot when we stayed so the lack of A/C was a problem- shouldn't be an issue for most visitors. The hostel provided a fan in each room, which helped. Friendly folks at the front desk.

The hotel we usually go to, The Cantabury Inn, wouldn't let us stay just one night because of the high season, and the Best Western was $191 for just one night and had never stayed at a hostel before. We were glad we found this place for $88, 2 adults and one double bed. The bed was comfy and clean. It was hot and stuffy, good thing the windows open and it was a cool night. No towels but I read they supply them, so I'm sure if you asked for some. No garage can in room or mirror. Walls are thin so you do hear anyone in the hallways, was a bit noisy at times, but we would come back here for the price and clean.

This is not the cheapest hostel I've stayed in but it's cheap for the area. Rooms are large and very clean, as are the toilets and showers. Kitchen well stocked although you have to bring your own towels as these are not supplied. Our room was very warm with no air conditioning and opening the window let in a lot of traffic noise. Apart from that it was a good place to stay for a couple of nights. We used the hostel as a base to explore Lake Louise and Banff, and whilst it's just short of a 2 hour drive it is a lovely drive and saved paying 4 times the price for closer accommodation.

We recently stayed at this hostel with 6 kids and 3 adults for a quick overnight stay. I can't fault this place. It wasn't luxurious but it was very affordable, spotlessly clean, had super comfortable beds and pillows and great amenities for the kids. They enjoyed the free pool table, internet and Netflix and they enjoyed all bunking in together in their dorm style room. It was also very convenient for us that all the linen and towels were supplied free of charge. All this in the most beautiful part of the world ! I thoroughly recommend this place - we were lucky to find it and will be back if we are in the area again !

I was in Invermere in the end of May 2017 and found it clean and super quiet. Have to say if You expect luxury hotel then this place is not for You. apparently if was off-season and I assume during the ski season it'll get a bit noisier. washrooms and showers are in a hallway and so is TV which can be inconvenient but at the same time that's what makes it quiet at night. It has kitchen with everything one need to make breakfast and lunch. room is very small and bed is narrow. doesn't have towels and I had to go to a local store to buy it. showers didn't have shampoo or soap lol 1 min walking distance to Subway and DQ and such restaurants in You don't want to make breakfast Yourself. If I go there next year this is the place I will book again without a doubt!
