Well I will say I that over the past few months this is my go to hotel. Actually, it has been ever since I met the overall cleanliness back in 2017. Front desk goes out of their way, restaurant accommodated me every time, and I feel like I made a few friendships. This trip

I checked in and the women at the front desk were friendly. The coffee station was clean, although the cream was nearly gone, but they had some local brew which was really good. The room was just right, the TV was huge. The bathroom and linens were pristine. So, I misplaced my

We have always like this BW in Nelson. It is quaint and different than the big drive-in types of BWs, The new restaurant was amazing, with a big clay oven and they even grown their own veggies/herbs right there under grow lamps. The people have always been friendly when we have

What is fair?
I came from out of town to Nelson, my girlfriend was also coming from out of town , we decided to meet at the Best Western in Nelson to have a late lunch , early dinner, i parked across the street from hotel , Parking lot sign says "customer Parking"made a quick stop and proceeded to walk to restaurant to meet my friend , as i was walking to the bottom street cross walk, there was something attached to the wheel well on my truck, in a panic i went to see what it could be, considering i drive a brand new truck, they put a lock on the tire, so i went over to meet my g/f who had not arrived yet,i called the RCMP, , who thought they were also being unreasonable, needless to say, i had to pay the 50 $ , for the release of my truck, and they wanted me to still have lunch there, are you kidding me, they were extremely rude. Manager Ryan Martin and Attendant Cane, i am a mature 50ish , working in Health Care system, just wanting to have lunch w/ a dear friend that i hadnt seen for awhile. UPDATE, as i am writing this the Manager has called me to tell me his problem that he does not make enough money w/ Best Western, so he was not there to deal w/ situation , because he was working at the Hotel Hume down the street, wow. He is not prepared to deal with me, he called because he realized that i made a complaint to the head office, which i will now call back. These kids need more training in customer service, and professionlism, to attack someones credibility and make them look bad, to make yourself look better, is not good business, i am sharing this , because i am a very unhappy customer, and membership holder. Social Media can be the judge , and small town i will tell anyone that listens.

does the property have a restaurant and lounge or just a restaurant?
It just has a restaurant called the Baker Street Grill. It does have a sectioned off bar area which is more lounge like but it is essentially just part of the restaurant. If you are looking for a nice lounge, you can't beat the Library Lounge in the Hume Hotel.
