Pros: Campfires at night, fully stocked kitchen, satellite tv, beautiful view from the Birch cottage, kayaks, paddle boats, canoes, hotstove fireplace. Everything you need to relax in the great outdoors with your family and friends. Andrew (the owner of the resort) was helpful and hospitable. My kids loved the place and we will return soon. Cons: No cons...perfect.

My husband, grandson and myself stayed in the three bedroom cottage called The Birches for one week. My niece and her boyfriend came and stayed with us for two nights. We all had a very positive experience with the quality of the cottage and the resort in general. There were other guests and it was busy at times but it...

In all my years of travel both within Canada, within the province, south of the border and overseas to pretty much all of Europe, I have never witness such bizarre behaviour from an owner operator. Let's start with a few highlights, this was supposed to be a relaxing vacation and getaway for my family, which includes two well travelled children...

My husband and I loved our stay at Cedarwood. Angela, Jeannie and Madie were so helpful and friendly. The cottages are very clean and serviceable. I also loved the location-close to Bracebridge and a short drive into Port Carling. We plan to return next year.

We have been travelling to Muskoka since 1978 and after many years found this gem in the heart of Muskoka in 1993. We stayed in a very old cottage by the water in those days and had a great time. We met the new owner the following year and have continued to return every year since with our children, grandchildren...

Our extended family stayed at Cedarwood for the first time. We all enjoyed ourselves. Every interaction with staff (Jeannie and Angela) was very pleasant and helpful. They all went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were quick to attend to anything we required. The cottages were clean and walking up and down the hill is all...

We really enjoyed having your family with us this year. It was wonderful to see all your family members so absorbed in experiencing everything that Cedarwood and the Muskoka region has to offer. We also found all our conversations very lively and fun. Your family truly enjoys exploring new adventures. Thank you for your lovely testimonial. Angela, Jeannie and Madie

This family will not return. Too many rules (verbal) that contradict the rules manual provided in the cottages. There was only 1 campfire the week we were there, our family was not invited to the campfire, try explaining that to your kids. Blankets on the beds smelled stale, glad I brought my own with me. Cottages are clean otherwise. It's...

This is disappointing to be writing this very honest, negative statement for future cottagers to review. Our family and extended families have been coming to Cedarwood for many, many years (5). The cottages and the location are good. We always considered Cedarwood a vacation location that we liked. Again treated as an unwanted guest(who never complained, till now). Welcomed right...

My friends and I just returned from out 4 day-3 night stay at Cedarwood Resorts. I want this review to provide prospective cottagegoers with everything they should be aware of when booking with Cedarwood Resorts. To start with the positives, there is absolutely nothing to complain about for the facility itself. The cottages are very clean, well kept, up to...

Thank you for your response. From our observations your group seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely for the four days with us. I understand that generally you stay at private cottage rentals which has the benefit of not being under the strict scrutiny of insurance and legal bodies that resorts are under. We do not have that luxury however we...
