Have been renting Buck Lake Lodge almost yearly with family. The property is outstanding and the views and trails are five stars. That being said, the cottage seems to be showing neglect each year we come back. The old owners used to keep it pristine and were very attentive to the guests. Now the last few years we've been back,... More

I have to give Limberlost 1 star due to their seriously poor communication. I really wanted to book one of their cottages in October for the weekend and emailed them my interest. They responded once and when I asked a few follow-up questions they just stopped responding...I tried a few times with no luck. It's not much of an experience... More

A very special place. Formerly, a famous lodge with hiking, horseback riding, sleigh rides, fishing, tennis, etc., Limberlost is now a wilderness area where you can rent a cabin/cottage. We have rented the Buck Lake cabin in winter and summer. The lakes are pristine (no motor boats), the swimming sublime, great fishing (ice fishing and summertime), canoeing, tranquility, lovely hiking... More

I was traveling to Ontario with my 7 yr old son and we were looking for a rustic camping/fishing experience without bringing all our camping gear. After a little research, I decided on Helve Lake Fish Camp in the Limberlost Forest. It was a perfect choice. We were joined by my brother in law and his 14yr old son. Limberlost... More

My girlfriends and I have been coming up for 10 years and staying at the Solitaire for a girls weekend. We just love the accommodations and the rustic atmosphere. The property is great for swimming, and safe for long walks. I'll keep coming up for as long as I can! Thanks for the great memories of years past, and looking... More

We visited Limberlost Forest last summer and brought overseas visitors. What a beautiful place to connect with nature. The trails, lakes, views and natural landscape are a must to see if you are looking for a real Canadian retreat !! We decided to return this summer and again had a fantastic time. If you haven't been to Limberlost put it... More

I came up to Limberlost with my girlfriend for a relaxing weekend as well as propose! The staff was fantastic, they helped us find the paddles for the kayaks/canoes, the view from Amron is phenomenal with the cliff across the lake. I picked this place to propose given the beauty of the place and it blew my fiancee's breath away.... More

For 14 years now, a group of my girlfriends and I have been staying at the Buck Lake Lodge over a weekend in June. And, until this year, we have had and an amazing time. Unfortunately, now that the ownership has changed hands to a new person, the quality of the accommodation has drastically declined while the price has skyrocketed.... More

If you are looking for a great quiet Muskoka cottage rental check this place out. Nice little beach area, clean cottages, beautiful calm lake - no power boats or skidoos just canoes and kayaks. Located around 15 minutes outside of Huntsville so close enough to pick up extra groceries or to do some local shopping or check out one of... More
