I checked in Monday Mar 1 after calling the central number and booking a reservation due to a blizzard that night and 6 hours on the road I was unable to return home. The male on phone said I was lucky it was the last room available. I drove to hotel and this super sweet young woman checked me in. I'm sorry I can't recall her name I believe Karen or Karla she was there Monday night March 1 and a welcomed face with a smile when I walked in. We did simple conversation about weather and hotel. She gave me my key card for room 214 and wished me a good night. If I could give 20 stars they'd all be for her. The room was ok, few hairs in tub but I can overlook that but I can't overlook that my temperature app on my phone showed my room 63 all night. The heater wouldn't warm up so I finally shut it off at midnight. The room was EXTREMELY COLD and I froze all night. I'm a Superintendent of an apt building and my apts have to be minimum 68 Fahrenheit according to the law. Your hotel is not even at the minimum. Even the hallways are cold. I se other reviews complain about the heat also. I paid $80 for an igloo. I'm looking into tourism board to complain because its ridiculous and unsafe for people to be subjected to such cold environment indoors. I now understand why the front desk staff at night and in morning are wearing heavy sweaters. The woman at front desk in the morning is very unhappy with her job. She doesn't smile, say good morning or anything except GLARE at you while you get a banana, yogurt and breakfast bag as if you're going to take everything. Guess what I PAID for that breakfast so I can have 2 bananas or yogurts if I wanted so STOP STARING at people and find a job that you're not miserable in please. The 1 star is for the wonderful woman that checked me in. I don't know if I'll ever stay at this hotel again when I'm visiting my granddaughter but it definitely won't be in the winter. Only on a hot humid summer night.

My husband was having surgery the next morning and with terrible weather we booked a room the night before rather than take a chance on missing it. Nothing fancy but staff were great, room was clean and good value for the cost. If I was on a vacation I might have been disappointed but it was good for our needs. Bed was comfortable, towels were clean and soft but the room took quite a while to warm up and the wifi kept cutting out.

The hotel staff were great! But upon booking they told my husband he was charged for two rooms, we only booked one. They were happy to give the room to someone else as it was the long weekend and needed rooms. The room was then available and someone else paid for it and used it. We were still charged for the extra room. Have had the runaround from Travelodge. Still had to pay $172.88 for a room we never used that was used and paid for by someone else. Do not book using the 1-800 number!

Thank you for taking this time to let us know about your stay with us. We appreciate the feedback. I am unsure about this issue with your booking. If it was done through a 3rd party site, we try to work with them, but have no control. I cannot look into this for you as there were many many reservations that weekend and it would take me a very long time to go through them all to find this as I have no name attached to this. I am very sorry you are dealing with this. I would say please call the hotel directly so I can look into this further for you.

The only redeeming quality at this hotel was the evening reception woman, dark hair, shaved on one side. She was kind, helpful and tried to fix the air conditioner three times. She said the breaker trips frequently and hasn't been fixed properly. The electrical outlet was in very poor shape. The screens had holes in them, and with the windows open the smoke from the smokers made the room smell like a pot house. Dirty facecloths were in the room on check in.

Lady at reception Tanya, older firm lady other reviews referred to as mean. False. She and housekeeping lady shaved head was some of the sweetest people you could ask a favour from. I know I worked for Sheraton Corp. and /Cambridge Suites Corp. It’s one thing to offer stars another to hire passionate people. Again asked sweet lady for referral for breakfast .She gave it. End result bang exactly what we wanted. Parking-ratty. Could see a cleanup. Picnic tables in parking lot a nice thought especially with covid. End result the gathering hoots made a lot of noise. Location is bang on. Perfect to Tobermory-Sauble Beach-Blue Mountain.Room was super clean. Had some fix ups to do. Not a deal killer. People at the hotel were the game changer. If you’re a shutter bug and want to complain about everything pay $200+ .IF you have and eye and ear for getting what you payed for then stay here. Rule number one treat other how you expect to be treated. Miracles will happen. Thank you staff you did your job Band On! P.S. Previous bad rating against Tanya.false that guy checked in late wanted the world.Really rude guy!! If he'd worked for a hotel he should know better. I've worked for Sheraton and Cambrige group.
