Wow! While I was here on business, I would certainly come back for pleasure. The rooms are fantastic and unique; the service was excellent and the food delicious. I have discriminating taste and I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone coming to Pembroke.

We could hardly believe our eyes when we pulled up to this beautiful B&B...and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, Shirley, our host, told us she had taken the liberty of upgrading our room. We found ourselves in a two bedroom suite that was just lovely. Our only disappointment was that we were staying for just one...

Grey Gables is a tastefully restored timber baron's mansion in the heart of Pembroke. Art and Shirley Makay are excellent and unobtrusive hosts - who make a wonderful and varied breakfast for their guests. All served in a huge and gorgeous dining room. And huge too are most of the guest suites - some have 2 bedrooms and all have...

I loved the atmosphere of this B&B. Large enough to feel like you have the place to yourself but quaint enough to give you the B&B experience. The décor and attention to detail makes this a wonderful stay.

We stayed in the Library Room and it was beyond our expectations. We loved it so much that we stayed an extra night. Very well decorated, clean and everything you would want in a century old mansion. We certainly recommend this B&B for anyone looking for a romantic get away.

I was also surprised by the large amount of noise generated by the old wooden floors when they were walked on-well above what most people would find tolerable; which tended to make coming in and going out a noisy affair. I didn't book to have breakfast so my...

I travelled to Pembroke, ON for an aunt's birthday celebration and since my cousins all had family staying with them, I opted for a b & b I'd always wanted to see and I wasn't disappointed. When I arrived, a wedding photo shoot was just finishing and as I walked into the foyer I could understand using this venue for...

Well worth booking. Surrounded by antiques and amazing architecture, the cost is reasonable and the breakfast is served in a dining room with crystal glasses and fine bone china. Close to Main Street and the water. 5 star stay!

Our stay was perfect! From the very beginning Shirley was a pleasure to work with as I planned my stay at Grey Gables. We rented all of the rooms for three days with friends and family travelling from all over to celebrate our wedding with us. Each and everyone of us was blown away with the accommodations and the unbelievable...
