What makes Stella Alpina B&B special is the owners, Carmelo and Anneka. They are warm, friendly and knowledgeable - and great cooks. The accommodations are very pleasant and Canmore is well situated just 10 minutes from Banff with the B&B only minutes from the Canadian Highway. My wife and I were in Canmore for hiking and Carmelo and Anneka were... More

The stars of the show are the hosts Anneka and Carmello. Multi-lingual, friendly, superb 'signature' omelettes with superb spreads for breakfast, nice rooms, everything good. My only advice would be, if you want a lay-in I. The morning (ie; miss go for one of the lower rooms, as the upper room is next to the breakfast room. Whilst A&C are... More

My wife Martha and I stayed here last year and had such a good time we decided to return. The room is comfortable with everything you could want. There is also a room upstairs which has great views of the surrounding mountains. Of course this is a bed & breakfast and Carmelo serves up one of the best. I had... More

We loved our 3 night stay here - the location is lovely, really quiet but only minutes from shops and restaurants, the room was delightful, and Anneke & Carmelo the perfect hosts. The breakfasts are amazing too! I would not stay anywhere else in Canmore, which, by the way, is a fantastic little town!

We stayed 4 nights recently; the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful; they gave us good tips on some great places to go hiking; they also had bear spray we were able to borrow; the garden is wonderful; location is great, short walk to town, river, trails; awesome breakfasts, omelets made from herbs from their garden and mushrooms they collected... Our party of 4 (parents and 2 teen boys) spent one night on our way up to Jasper town centre. Anneke and Carmelo could not have been more welcoming. We had 2 bedrooms that were very comfortable and quiet. They are located just a couple blocks from Main St. so walking to dinner was very easy. We really enjoyed the... More

If you're thinking of stopping in Canmore, which is much nicer than Banff, then this is THE B & B. to stay in. Location is great, just a short walk into town. Our hosts were great, the room was quiet, spacious and spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were excellent. That's the way to run a B & B !!

We stayed for a weekend and really enjoyed the space, the hosts and the breakfast. Very close to the river for a nice walk. Great wild mushroom omelet and he smokes his own salmon. Close to downtown-walking distance. Helpful hosts. know the area very well and offer guidance. Even shared their park pass with us to go into the National... More

The couple that owns Stella Alpina are just as nice and hospitable as one can ask. The room was much larger than we expected, but most importantly it was clean. The wild mushroom omelet in the morning w/some wonderful lox on the side. YUM! Will for sure stay again when we need a break from the city.

I stayed here for a weekend while in Calgary for work and absolutely loved it! Anneke and Carmelo are amazing and take wonderful care of their place.
