Mary and her staff gave my wife and I an excellent horseback tour of her 60 acre ranch and adjacent public lands. The trails were well maintained leading us along the turquoise Athabasca River and took us to some pretty amazing locations providing spectacular views of the mountains of Jasper. Her horses were well trained and easy to handle giving...

We took a 1.5 hr trail ride through fir tree-covered hills with great views and very well behaved horses. We were complete beginners but we had enough instruction from Mary to get round with no injuries... A bonus to the day was Mary lassoing a stray Vietnamese pot bellied pig in order to get it back home!

Went for a horseback ride today at Old Entrance Bed & Breakfast and Trail Rides. It was perfect. The horses were all well behaved and very well trained. The guide was very knowledgeable and the trail taken offered wonderful views of the Athbasca River Valley and the mountains to the west. Higher recommend this ride to anyone. 5 star ride.

Me and the hubby stayed in the rustic cabin, the 3 teenagers in a nearby teepee. Both were excellent. We only stayed 2 nights and regretted not staying longer. The cabin was superb; yes rustic but clean, comfortable and well equipped. There isn't running water or a flushing toilet so if you are the type of person that wants to...

The owner is rude. She has rules for everything. Do yourself a favour, instead of paying your good money to stay here. Stay somewhere where the owner actually wants guests and is actually accommodating. Horrible experience.

We strive to provide a quiet, restful vacation experience for all guests. If this one time, anonymous Tripadvisor contributor was a guest at Old Entrance she would have received our 20 point "Guest Etiquette and Site Map" that is little different than instructions provided by reception at any private camping facility. Each new guest is asked to please read these...

The entire property is beautiful! All staff were very friendly. The owner Mary looked after all details before we got there. We had great 2-hour horse ride, it was our daughter just turned 7, it was her 1st. time ride a horse by herself. All horses are very well trained, she felt very much secured, was giggling the whole time!...

Wife and I booked 3 nights at teepee#2. This is the teepee closest to the river , sound of the water is so relaxing. Wood stove in teepee kept the chill off at night . We had morning breakfast at the lodge, food was simple, fresh and adequate. Just a peaceful tranquil experience all around. Jules and Topher. Lloydminster Alberta

We have been staying at Old Entrance for the past 7 years and they never disappoint us with their hospitality; There are not to many places that are still affordable in or nearJasper National park; plus the area is so peaceful for our 2 traveling cats; they book up early, especially in peak season, so plan ahead; as for the...

We visited this property for a family gathering and unfortunately didn't find the staff very hospitable nor accommodating. We were greeted with a list of rules that seemed a little excessive including take off your shoes ( which we were reminded to do), doors locked at 11 pm, don't feed the dog etc. The two bedroom suite in the basement...

I recall this guest wanted to stay in a cabin but none was available at her time of reservation after other family had already reserved Teepees and camping. She reluctantly reserved the main house Guest Suite as it was her only alternative for staying on-site. She reminded me when she arrived that she had driven 1100 km and wanted a...
