Went here today for lunch after hearing good reports from friends. Service was excellent food was fabulous. The place is a bit quirky but all the better for that. Old fashioned and grand on a small scale. Would recommend and would go again.

Great location for walking, peace , calm and rest. Spectacular location near the Tissington Trail and more great pubs than you can shake a Norweigan pole at Roaring log fire, great breakfasts, hearty dinners and complimentary wine, Pimms and picnic lunches. Four poster bed, bathroom to hold a dance in and a bath that really does hold two with taps...

Country cosy and very friendly with a lovely laid back ambience. The lounge has a roaring log fire where complimentary Pimms are served for free. The food is excellent and included in dinner, is half a carafe of wine. Wonderful walks from the hotel, no need to drive and a great little pub next door. What else could you want?

We were given a gift voucher for Biggin Hall and booked in for Sunday Lunch. We arrived and couldnt find the way in!!! We walked in to a lounge type area and sat down. We waited a few minutes and a member of staff walked by. After asking her where we went for drinks and being told we could order...

Lovely weekend at this super dog-friendly hotel in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales. Nothing was too much trouble - my daughter is a fussy eater and also a vegetarian & they were able to offer alternatives to the menus - & did so with grace. Staff friendly & helpful. This was our second visit & we will go back.

We have just spent two days here and enjoyed every moment . We took our two dogs and were given a room with a little lobby which was excellent for the hairy ones . The room was large and very comfortable with great facilities . We wandered to the lovely restaurant for dinner and were presented with a complimentary drink...

I stayed at Biggin Hall for 3 nights mid-week with my mum. The location is perfect for visiting historic houses in the surrounding area or the surrounding towns such as Bakewell and Buxton. We had a 2-bedroom suite on the top floor of the main building (yes there were a few stairs to negotiate but nothing major!). The rooms were...

I was really looking forward to taking my German friend to Biggin Hall for a birthday treat (31st July) after I'd heard excellent reviews from my family. Sadly we both left feeling ... The attitude of the staff (with the exception of one) was something to be desired. Distant and disinterested from start to finish. My stuffed brie with param...

I am very sorry to hear that your visit did not live up to the experiences of other members of your family. I have drawn your review to the attention of both the waiting and kitchen staff but regret that as your review was not posted until a month and a half after the event it has been difficult to...

Just paid our forth visit to this quiet retreat. Very restful, quiet location, rural setting with fine food.ideal for walkers, lovers of the country side and close to Chatsworth and bake well. The house is full of old world charm as it date suggests.
