Farm cottage was lovely. Jayne the owner had gone to the kind trouble of putting a Christmas tree up and other decorations. It was very well equipped in every way. We hope to be back. The views were beautiful too. And there is a lovely local pub, a ten minute walk away.

Just got back from a week at the picturesque Coterill Farm cottages, and really enjoyed it. Accommodation was fairly priced and of a good standard, and the positioning was great (managed to feel private and remote whilst not being isolated with other cottages onsite). Lots to do nearby, we filled a week with activities with our young girls and enjoyed...

We stayed in Cotterhill barn for 2 nights last weekend and had a wonderful time. The barn was spotlessly clean and the owners very kindly left a bottle of wine for us on arrival. The location is perfect - beautiful views from the barn, and endless walks right from the doorstep. One pub is just 5 minutes walk down the...

We stayed here as a family of 4 (2 adults a child and a baby) during Feb half term. There was a travel cot, high chair and safety gate supplied which were greatly appreciated. It is a lovely place with a few other developments around it. It has very recent new owners who were helpful and friendly. The barn itself...

I thought I had left a review already, when I checked trip advisor today it seems I didn't! My reason for checking today is we are thinking of returning! We had a lovely stay in the barn itself. Well equipped, clean, cosy and a beautiful location! Patrick popped down on our second day too see if everything was in check,...

We stayed in the Cotterill Farm barn, the upstairs flat and it was really lovely. On arrival we were greeted with a bottle of wine and 2 glasses ready for us on the table, and the flat seemed really cosy. The flat is very well equipped and the living area is very spacious. It would easily have suited 4 people,...

We appreciate your generous comments. Just for the benefit of future guests, I would mention Eleanor actually stayed in the Hay Store, -not Cotterill farm Barn as she wrote, unless without my knowledge she did a swop with our guests in the Barn! But many thanks and we do indeed hope to see you again in the future!

We stayed a week in the Milking Parlour and couldn't have asked for anything more. The cottage was well-equipped, super clean in a lovely setting. Patrick and Frances were really helpful whilst giving us plenty of privacy. There is so much to do in the area, including long walks, pretty villages, bike rides and stately homes. Thoroughly recommended as a...

Me and my partner visited the barn from the 1st April for 3 nights and felt it was cosy and well equipped cottage. You have endless amounts of information for your stay aswell as kitchen equipment, toiletries and plenty of heaters so you don't get cold. However we felt the welcoming could have been better when we arrived apart from...

I appreciate your generously giving us a rating of five star despite your reservations, on which I would mention for the benefit of future potential guests. We are sorry we did not greet you in the days days beforehand, we ourselves were on holiday and my daughter and son-in-law were staying at our house, as always, managing things in our...

We stayed at the 'Haystore' flat in April 2015 and found it to be attractive and well appointed with an excellent modern kitchen, very comfortable sofa and armchairs and a decent TV. The location is absolutely first rate, close to Hartington village and with a great local pub, the Waterloo, nearby. The owner Patrick Skemp is very organised and professional,...

Thanks for your comments and disappointed that whilst you clearly appreciated the quality location and other aspects of the Hay store, the beds did not suit you. You mention the width of the bed at 5feet, which is a queen size, in fact the bed in the main bedroom is 4feet 6 inches, i.e. a standard double. (5 feet is...
