I came here solo (at the tail end of an extremely relaxing trip around Wales). This place was horrible. Just terrible. The food was ok, not bad but nothing to go out of your way for. But the staff was consistently bad, from the host to the bartender to my server. Traveling alone usually means that people give a little...

Visited The Griffin for a birthday lunch treat. The food was excellent, the staff attentive and the atmosphere relaxed. We had recently stayed at their sister inn The Gurnards Head in Cornwall, and The Griffin did not disappoint. Definitely one to return to.

A really great pub with vibrant atmosphere, terrific food and extremely good service. I just can't fault the food or service, it is so good to get somewhere where it is all so well done. The pub has lots of atmosphere, log fire and has stayed authentic and true to itself .....love it!!! I wish it were nearer!

This is in a small village on the busy A470 north-south Wales route. The food, as always, was of a great standard. Dishes enjoyed included lamb broth, salmon fish cakes, seared octopus, pork rillettes and venison belly. Decent wine list and real ales. Excellent breakfasts too. Cosy in with a real fire and very welcoming staff.

Our day, afternoon, evening and morning at the Felin Fach Griffin were all exactly like we expected. It's a proper, warm, cosy, quirky, friendly, laid back, lovely food and beer kind of place. You get my drift? It's the first time we have stayed in a hotel without a TV (ps it has wifi :-) ) and we loved it....

Lovely feedback on your stay, thanks so much for taking the time to provide it. And a good summary of some of the things that we think important about staying with us.

I spent a weekend at the Griffin with a group of friends. We were doing a walk in the Brecon Beacons. However we wanted something bit more than a "walkers" pub. Good food and drink was an essential ingredient. The Griffin did not disappoint. The accommodation is simple but comfortable. The bas was very comfortable with plenty of sofas in...

This was a sixtieth celebration and it was a triumph!!! Set but excellent menu, served with efficiency and a smile. The food was outstanding and apart from a slightly later start than planned, the evening couldn't be faulted. Wish I lived closer!

This is a great pub, with a heavy emphasis on food. Great, locally sourced food. A 'beacon' (sorry) of light (culinary wise) in a fairly unlikely location, but a nice setting. There was a group of about six of us and everyone was very happy with their meals.

This hotel/restaurant is a real find. We visited because we have been to their sister hotels in Cornwall and we were not disappointed. The staff cannot do enough for you, the food is simply amazing and the room very comfortable. I cannot recommend this little gem highly enough for lunch, dinner or to stay, you will not be disappointed.

Thank you, very kind words that the team will really appreciate. And lovely that you've now completed the hat trick with our two little inns in Cornwall. We must introduce something which recognises that achievement.

Booked up for a lunch time meal for six of us. We took advantage of a special offer with the settings one meal for £5. We'll be going back for full price meals! Fantastic food and service and wonderful beer. Brilliant atmosphere with a warm welcome.
