Had a couple of nights here courtesy of a wowcher offer. First impressions were a bit iffy - not the warmest of welcomes from the man who checked me in. The room was a good size double and the shower was spacious. There was a smell from the drains in the room when I arrived, but perhaps this was because...

A lovely, old country pub, with loads of atmosphere. Good selection of beers, lager and wines, combined with a friendly, helpful staff. Food, restaurant quality, and good portions. Rooms, very clean and typical country pub. Mind your head! Finally, go for the Full English!

After taking a walk up to the chalky white horse. The Forresters arms was a lovely lovely treat for us. Must say the cherry scone won a unanimous vote between myself and partner in the cheese vs cherry debate! Thanks we shall return (maybe for a fruit scone)

Popped in for lunch. Your always a little sceptical about your 1st visit. So glad we called in, what a splendid place this is. Bar man was friendly & had a sense of humour which is rare these days. Was nice to have a chat about the area. Now down to the food, my partner ordered the homemade beefburger with...

Had a lovely 2 night stay here with my partner and our dogs. Our room was great and breakfast was yummy. Our dogs were well catered for too which put us at ease. The local area was stunning with lots to see. We found the evening meals a little expensive for what we needed but quality was good.

We stayed over night to celebrate my son's engagement. We were made very welcome. The Inn is very characterful and comfortable. We had a family meal and the host kindly set up the breakfast room to take us away from the busy bar area. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meal very much. After the meal we moved...

Went here for a 2 night stay. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms as expected for a pub with controlable heating. Food in restaurant excellent and good value. Though if you look on the Web site it has an a la carte as well as the standard. There is no a la carte, update the Web site owners
