On the two previous occasions we've stayed here it's been in a four poster room, this time it was the superior double and it was just as good, if not better, ground floor, clean and modern decor. You get everything you get with the four poster room except the four poster !!! Breakfast is spot on and worth the money...

On arrival at this so-called 'boutique' hotel (not sure what kind of boutique exactly) the reception desk was unmanned so we had to wait for a member of staff to appear in order to check-in. Once they had managed this, we were shown to our room but almost immediately returned as the 'Four-Poster bed' (actually a bed with a wrought-iron...

Room was clean and tidy, free items in mini bar! staff were friendly and helpful even let us leave motorbike in car park after we checked out and went to explore York for the day, takes about 15 mins to walk to the centre. I would stay here again.

Started at this hotel last minute and it pleasantly surprised us. Quite chic in the inside and with welcoming staff. Many rooms are four poster with large, really comfortable beds and a few free drinks in the minibar. It was quite noisy on the first floor with people getting back late, Boise from other rooms and creaky floorboards but wasn't...

Stayed here for 2 nights while seeing the sights in york. Thought it was a great little place to stay and wouldn't hesitate to use it again. Didn't eat here though so can't comment on the food. It's about a 10 minute walk into town.

After spending two nights in this hotel, I can say I'd definitely return! The rooms are more than adequate, coffee machine, lovely shower, modern bathroom, comfortable beds, enough wardrobe/drawer space. The food (breakfast and dinner) is stunning for the price! The staff are friendly and helpful. Not a lot of staff available, so do not expect to get served straight...

This is our 6th stay at this hotel. We stayed here in mid July for two nights in room 304, this room is lovely with a newly refurbished bathroom, we stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis which was perfect for us. The staff were friendly and helpful and it is only a 10 minute walk from the centre of...

I actually emailed the hotel but they can't be bothered to reply! Stayed here for 1 night in July with my wife. We booked on line requesting 4 poster and paid extra supplement for dinner. Room was dirty and bed was falling apart so we were showed another (not 4 poster) it was clean but not what we booked. Settled...

Dear Biggie_D_69, Unfortunately I haven’t received any email from you so I haven’t been able to reply. I have been off for a few months with illness, so I’m not quite sure when you stayed or which room has a bed that is falling apart – currently none of them do so I’m shocked that this was the case while...

Personally I found this expensive for what it was as there was no included breakfast in the price . Twin room was a fair size but quite old . Nice touch was the coffee/ tea machine in the room . It was good location 10 min walking from York . The lady at reception was lovely and helpful and in...
