We've camped at several places in Tahoe and we loved campground by the lake. Close walking to a lot of things and a short bike ride to many things as well. Centrally loved. If you don't mind the dust and some street traffic noise it is great. Showers were old but clean and hosts were very friendly. I would def...

We stayed for 6 nights at the end of June. This is a beautiful campground, in a high traffic area, very close to many attractions. Right across the street is a great sandy beach with bathrooms and a snack stand. It's a short bike ride from all the adventures and shopping available at the Heavenly Gondola. There are plenty of...

Nice location by the lake, central to recreation and yet located in south Lake Tahoe. It is definitely urban and in no way remote or secluded. They also have flushing toilets and free hot showers! The only annoying part was a horrible registration process where you literally have to go through dozens of sites one by one looking for vacancies....

Now that we're retired, we come here for two weeks every year. We meet friends here from Southern California, and all of us really enjoy it here. We get to hike, ride bikes, enjoy campfires and walks to the lake since it's just across the street. Yet it is all close enough to be close to restaurants and ice cream...

Good campground just a little too close to the highway. We could see and hear cars but they were slightly obscured through the trees. It is well kept and I probably would go back. Check in was easy however the gentleman was not very warm but eventually warmed up and that was nice.

We stayed in the A loop in a 42 foot fifth wheel. What a nice change from the last few places we've stayed. There are lots of trees, and the sites in this loop were large with a picnic table and fire ring. It is right in town and very convenient. We walked to MacDuff's Public House for dinner one...

This place is SO laid back, it was quite refreshing. No frills, no sewer hook up, but a nice guy with a stinky truck will come take care o'biz for a mere $10. Walking distance to fun stuff, kind do pups, and accommodated me last minute for 3 days, although I needed to hitch up and move every day after...

You could not have a more convenient location for a campground if you want to be near all the happenings in Lake Tahoe and still have peace and quiet. It is a short walk to the lake from the campground. The staff was very nice. We were able to pick up regular TV signal as well. We will stay here again...

In fact, this can be a legitimate question while making a reservation at this campground! We transmitted our credit card number while making a reservation for next September and received an automatically answer that we will be charged for the deposit in the next weeks. This was last November. In the meantime our credit card was not be charged. But...

My wife and I stayed here the last weekend of October which was the end of the season for this campground. Very few other campers were on the property, so it felt like we had the entire place for ourselves. I like the location, very close to both the lake and downtown South Lake Tahoe. The sites are very wooden...
