We stayed here without a reservation in June. We could walk across the street to the lake and we also walked to a restaurant. Lake Tahoe will be busy and noisy even in the winter. The restrooms are rather gross.

The campground itself was beautiful, with a view on Lake Tahoe. We had no reservation, campground was supposed to be full, but we still got a spot. Thanks to staff! The restrooms were really disgusting! Also the shop was closed for more than a year, we were told because the owner had left...

Beautiful park across the street from the lake that is incredibly noisy. Traffic, traffic and more traffic day and night. At 6:30 to 7am in the morning, even on Sunday music blared from loud speakers across the street. Bike paths in town are broken and dangerous. If you are looking for peace and relaxation you will not find it here.

Great campground in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. It is within easy walking distance to eateries, breweries, walking/biking paths. Loop A has water and electric hookups, Loop B has electrical hookups with water available as shared between sites. There are no sewer hook ups avail and no grey water (or any water) allowed to be deposited on the ground....

We booked this campground because there was nothing else available. Reviews had mentioned the road was near and somewhat noisy. That is an understatement. The "road" is highway 50, the main connector from Reno to Folsom and Sacramento. It is always busy and very loud. We never once in four days slept for more than two hours at a time....

If you are looking for cheap lodging close to the action and next to the beach, this is the place. However, it is not comparable to a nice National Forest campground or a nice RV campground/resort. It is dirty, crowded, and lacks all sembelence of privacy. Far too many people are allowed to camp in any individual camp spots. So,...

Loved the location, right across the street from the beach/water in South Lake Tahoe. Close to lots of places to eat and easy access to trails, etc. Bathrooms were old, but clean. Felt very safe and secure here, lots of patrolling. A real gem!

Campground right in the middle of the city without the feel of the city. Very close walking distance to the lake. Staff was very nice. Bathroom/shower area was not very clean, and needs modernization. Biggest drawback wad the bums in the camp using the facilities, and having to walk by them on the lake, and on the way to the...

We stayed here for about 5 days. The location is great. Everything else, not so much. We brought 2 jeeps and a camper all on 1 trailer. We camped on the trailer, and had 2 jeeps on the campsite. The campsites are pretty big-which is great. But, you are only allowed to have 2 vehicles on a campsite during ur...
