The owner is super nice and the place is lush. The cabins are huge and have a kitchen area, lounge and an enormous bathroom. Well worth the bucks. Super close to Heavenly. Includes breakfast and wine and cheese in the evening. Do this now. Great for weddings as well. Just a swell laid back vibe.

Great service- friendly, personal, and always ready to help with directions and suggestions for the Tahoe area. The owners are on property and clearly take great pride in their business. It might be a B&B but the appointments are as nice as a resort. Can't wait to go back.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed at Black Bear Inn, 2nd time in the Snowshoe Thompson Cabin which is about the best ski area accommodation for 2 imaginable. It has a very comfortable bed, large bathroom including a whirlpool tub, and a gorgeous high-ceilinged living room. The gas fireplace warms up the room (and dries out the gloves) in...

We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday in Lake Tahoe and were lucky enough to chose the Black Bear Inn. The entire experience here was fantastic - Kevin and Jerry, the room, the location, afternoon wine and cheese, and the breakfast. This has to be the best breakfast in Lake Tahoe! Jerry and Kevin have a wonderful place here with a...

"On the road with Brent and Kelley" we are very fortunate to find great accommodations in the many destination locations we visit with my work in central northern California. Jerry and Kevin will definitely make you feel like your visiting friends and family . The Inn is detailed with warm wood and incredible stone work. Morning coffee and breakfast are...

I just left the Black Bear Inn. It was wonderful. The cabin was quiet, and peaceful. Would wonder into the main house for coffee and breakfast. The breakfasts were AMAZING! Kevin and Jerry, are so kind and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay there, and highly recommend their B&B. There are several great restaurants within walking distance that Kevin and...

Located just a few blocks from the heart of South Lake Tahoe, the Black Bear Inn is within walking distance of the lake, a few fantastic restaurants, Heavenly ski resort, and a few minutes drive from pretty much everything else we wanted to do. Every breakfast we had was Pinterest worthy and we did actually take a couple of pictures....

We stayed at the Black Bear Inn as a part of our honeymoon. Jerry and Kevin are wonderful hosts who did everything they could to make it the best experience we could ask for. The place has an amazing rustic feel to it. It is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is the best around. We will definitely make a...

Nice, very new BnB off the main road in South Lake Tahoe. Very different from most of the motel-style places all over this part of the lake. Spotless, nice and efficient rooms. Great, freshly cooked breakfast. Nice touch with free wine and cheese in the afternoons. Would love to see this place in winter.

I came upon this place as I drove into Tahoe late one evening, and pulled out a travel book, which listed it as a four star--and I decided to check it out. They were somewhat closed up for the night, but a gentleman answered the bell anyway, and put me in one of the nicest suites I've stayed in. The...
