Stayed to break the journey N wales to Cardiff. Entheusiastic welcome, comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Great breakfast. Comfortable sitting room. Good breakfast. Dissapointing dinner. Loked good but the meat, my duck, wife's pork and other table's lamb rather chewy and red cabbage rather overcooked - redemed by delicious potato dish to a certain extent.

We stayed for 1 night mid week . Very comfy bedroom with modern bathroom - all immaculate . No TV in bedroom but it really didn't matter. Went for the dining room evening meal option and we were not disappointed! It was a tasty , home cooked treat using locally sourced food . Breakfast was excellent too. Very careful hosts... More

I cannot speak too highly of the hosts, most welcoming and jolly. The hotel is wonderful and you are looked after from the time you book in, didn't need to ask for anything as everything was perfect. Good room facing back garden, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom with very good toiletries. The evening menu is excellent and would definitely not eat... More

A lovely hotel, beautifully presented. Hosts amazingly friendly & the food delicious. Spent a night after a few hard days on the River Wye for the missus birthday and it was great. Highly recommend it.

A proper coaching Inn with really friendly and welcoming hosts. We stayed for just one night and were really impressed with our splendid room with a first class bathroom, very tastefully decorated with modern colours, yet retaining period furniture and charm. Breakfast was terrific, lovely local sausage and really thick bacon, also an excellent fruit salad. We had dinner which... More

We have just returned from a two night break in this hotel, chosen because of the comments made by other visitors. We were not disappointed. None of the little things that make for comfort have been overlooked, fluffy towels, shower gel, shampoo etc all provided in normal bottles instead of those samples in most other hotels. Coffee in our room... More

Roy and Judith are great hosts. A warm welcome was received plus assistance to carry suitcases etc! The Inn is very atmospheric, what with its history, age and style you cannot help but be pleasantly surprised - the decor is appropriate as is the furniture. Every single thing is gleaming and spotless! Food is superb too! This couple certainly have... More

Cosy, comfortable inn run by the very hospitable Roy and Judith. Apparently the building itself has stood here for 500 years (I believe it's a listed property) - what tales it must be able to tell, in it's position standing on the main Hereford to Brecon road. When I arrived I was given a warm friendly welcome by Judith who... More
