We booked this as a last minute stop off and as we pulled up we contemplated not even going in! The outside is very scruffy and run down nothing like the image, windows needed painting, the grounds and gardens were a mess and there was rubbish all over, the grass was overgrown and it was certainly a case of first...

Room location was in the separate building , we were given a helping hand with luggage to the room and all facilities explained fully in a very friendly manner. Rooms appear to have been fairly recently updated. Comfortable and with just the right amount of in-room facilities. What makes this hotel outstanding , is the top level of service provided...

Booked on line in the morning. arrived early evening. welcomed by very helpful, friendly and efficient manager. Room wonderful with a bathroom bigger than some rooms we have stayed in Meal good but only available in the bar area. Spoilt by television for the bar. Slept well, breakfast good and easy check out. Friendly good standard hotel.

I have stayed here a few times with my boyfriend as it's located near his family and this time after it being a little while since the last did not dissapoint. We love the look and feel of this hotel and the beautiful countryside views. Rolling hills and grazing sheep greet you as you peer from the hotel window. The...

We booked 2 rooms having found the hotel on the internet. It was a great find! The rooms are very comfortable and exceptionally clean and the staff are all great. The pub / restaurant is well supported by local people (which is always a good sign in my book) and I can understand why, the food is wonderful and very,...

Called in at the hotel on our way up to skipton to forewarn staff we would be returning late after our day out in skipton. Assured all would be ok. On our return to check in at 7pm to our pre booked double room, we were told there were no double rooms available,& the only room available was a twin...

Booked here as close to wedding venue. Greeted with a lovely welcome by bar persons, room was ready but had a drink whilst waiting for others to arrive. Room was immaculate and looked fresh and inviting, refreshments in room and a good size tv. Back to the bar to wait for a taxi, once again staff fantastic. After a great...

My grandfather and I stayed in one of the "Club Rooms" at the Old Stone Trough Hotel for one night whilst we were doing some walking in the area, and we had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, and although small, the room was satisfactory. The bathroom was equally as good, with an albeit...

Booked an upgraded room and it was fine. It was in an annex and the room although slightly dated, was clean and warm. The double glazing however, is in need of renewing as the windows are misted between the 2 layers of glass which means its difficult to see out of some of the windows! Unfortunately the bath water was...
