We called in the afternoon and they had room for our family in a special family room. It was much farther from Rye then we had thought. The good point is that it's close to Boredam castle if you want to visit. The bad point is that you can't find a place to eat in the evening or even to... More

I booked only a few days before so was lucky to get a room on the bank holiday weekend. When we arrived we were shown to our room, which was a cabin in the garden! I was slightly nervous as I could see that it adjoined a tool shed! However, it was a large, spacious and nicely furnished room with... More

We had a lovely room which was very nicely decorated and had plenty of hanging space and storage. The shower was excellent- plenty of hot water and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts are freshly prepared and served in the pleasant breakfast room. We spent two nights and would have liked to have stayed longer. We would certainly retun... More

Lovely Stay I stayed at Hazelhurst for two weeks in August 2007. I was coming from Canada, my brother and his wife were traveling from Australia and we needed to be in the Broad Oak area as we had family business to attend to. I chose Hazelhurst on my brother’s suggestion; he and his wife had stayed there last year... More

I spend a lot of time on the road as my work takes me all over the UK. Hazelhurst gave me that feeling of being at home, comfortable room, great food and the all important good hospitality. I have stayed at Hazelhurst on a number of occasions and quite simply, cannot fault it. - Well Done and see you soon.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights last year. I don't want to be unfair, because the owners were absolutely wonderful and are animal lovers, which I particularly like, but the room had a few little problems. It had a 'power shower' which (in very hot weather) could not be turned to a cooler temperature. I must admit... More

We stayed at Hazelhurst for 2 nights in September. The hosts, Peter & Caroline Newbury, were very friendly, but not at all intrusive. Peter happily booked a meal at the local pub (The Rainbow Trout - well worth a visit for a pint or two and a nice meal) for us on our first night, so we'd have somewhere to... More
