The bed room area was updated in our room which was done nicely. I would recommend taking your own pillows and packing a hairdryer. The bathroom had been left unrepaired with tape around shower, wasn't very nice at all, felt cheap , not good enough to book paying guests into. There was a loud group of men staying and drinking...

Where to start? This place feels like it hadn't been touched since the 70s and is in drastic need of a makeover. Despite its location in the centre of Richmond this feels like something you would expect in the back blocks. Only saving grace was a nice warm shower!

We enjoyed our stay at Arthur Wakefield with its easy access to all there is to offer in Richmond. The best part of this place is the free unlimited wifi. It was warm and I liked being able to walk where we wanted to. Clean. Could use a make over but all up ok.

This place is a bit tired-looking in terms of decor, but it's a great location and the staff are lovely. The room has unlimited wifi - a great sell! The bed was comfy (soft but not too much), and the room was warm. Strangely the kitchen nook had no teaspoons, no bowls, but plenty of knives and cups, and a...

Very simple rooms. Have everything you might need, but nothing extra. Very friendly manager. Good location. Lots of great places to eat in the immediate area. Outdated furnishings but comfortable and clean. Heating is limited to a very loud fan heater in the wall in the main room, and a fan heater in the bathroom. The one in the main...

I knew where it should be located in Richmond street but was expecting a street frontage and it is tucked in behind a restaurant (The Three Rooms). Restaurant sign is so big our eyes were attracted to it not the post signage. Redecorated room was tastefully done and it was clean. The bed was really bad and I awoke with...

Has new management which puts emphasis to renovate and upgrade the rooms as well as the cafe / bar. Steve is very helpful to accommodate guest requests. He provided me with an extra microwave :). The food menu in the cafe has limited choices BUT it tastes fantastic!

We picked this motel from the selection on the Internet. Our unit was adequate in size, and though a little dated, was comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. There were only very small plates, and no bowls, so we bought some disposable ones from a nearly store to use for our breakfast cereals and toast.

I stayed two nights on business. Room was spacious, bed comfy, good lighting over the desk, hot and spacious shower, very quiet- which is just right for a light sleeper. Traveling alone, I had pub dinners but each night they were delicious, service was excellent, and I can recommend this as a modest but decent place to stay.
